AI for Creatives Workshop – Recap 🇬🇭🤝🇩🇪
Last week, the Social Entrepreneurship Hub Ghana, in collaboration with DaiL – Düsseldorf AI Lab, Takoradi Technical University (TTU) (Fashion Department), and Partnership Düsseldorf–Sekondi-Takoradi e.V., hosted our first hybrid AI workshop for creative students and staff at TTU.

What made this special:
Young artists, fashion designers, and creative entrepreneurs explored how AI can support their ideas and businesses.
Practical tools, real use cases, and hands-on exercises showed how AI can fit into everyday creative workflows.

A true Ghana–Germany collaboration, connecting creatives in Sekondi-Takoradi with partners in Düsseldorf.

Thank you to all participants, instructor Nik Kuchler, and partners who made this maiden session a success.

Next stop: Ghana! 🇬🇭

DAIL – Düsseldorf AI Lab and Partnership Düsseldorf–Sekondi-Takoradi e.V., in collaboration with the Social Entrepreneurship Hub Ghana (SE-HuB) and Takoradi Technical University (Faculty of Applied Art and Technology, Fashion Department), is bringing its first hybrid AI for Creatives Webinar to Ghana.

This practical, hands-on session is designed for young artists, fashion designers, students, lecturers, and creative entrepreneurs who want to discover how AI can enhance creativity, improve productivity, and grow creative businesses.

We successfully hosted the Textile Waste Management Training for students of Takoradi Technical Institute (TTI), bringing together young creatives to explore sustainable solutions within the fashion industry.

The session highlighted the growing challenge of textile waste and introduced practical, innovative approaches to managing it. From reuse and recycling to circular design thinking, students were empowered to see waste not as a problem, but as an opportunity for entrepreneurship and environmental stewardship. They also had the chance to create tote bags using old jeans and carnival costumes.

This initiative reflects the power of collaboration in driving change. We are grateful to our partners Takoradi Technical Institute, Takoradi Technical University, and CorpNation Foundation with support from GIZ Ghana.

Together, we are equipping the next generation with the knowledge and skills to build a cleaner, greener future.

The Textile Waste Management Training for TTI students is on Monday, 6th July 2026 at 10:00am at the Fashion Department, Takoradi Technical Institute (TTI)

This important training will highlight the growing challenge of textile waste and explore practical ways to manage it sustainably.

The SE-Hub team visited Ketan Catholic JHS. The students were introduced to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using our interactive discussions and storytelling approach.

This is one more step in our journey to bring the SDGs into classrooms across Ghana and empower young people to act.
