Building a stronger team to create greater impact!
Through the Skills4Inclusion Project, the GYIC team benefited from a 2-day organizational strengthening workshop organized by German Sparkassenstiftung Western Africa. From Exclusion to Empowerment: 50 Lives Transformed in Sunyani!
We are incredibly proud to announce the graduation of 50 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and migrant returnees from our transformative Skills4Inclusion Project in Sunyani, Ghana! 🎓
Over four months of intensive vocational training and entrepreneurship coaching, these resilient individuals have transitioned from passive onlookers into certified entrepreneurs and skilled professionals. They are now launching sustainable micro-businesses in:
🥮 Pastries & Bakery
🧼 Soap & Detergent Production
💄 Cosmetology
📿 Bead Making
"These graduates are no longer beneficiaries of assistance—they are entrepreneurs, employers in the making, taxpayers, and agents of local economic growth."

From the click-clack of tiny glass beads to the rhythmic stitching of vibrant slippers, the energy inside the Sunyani training hall was electric. For 50 resilient trainees including persons with disabilities (PWDs) and migrant returnees, this past week was not just about learning a craft. It was about reclaiming their economic independence.
This intensive vocational skills training took bead-making to the next level. These were not just traditional strands; these women mastered the art of turning raw beads into high-value, marketable products:
✨ Intricate necklaces and earrings that command attention.
👡 Beaded slippers blending local culture with everyday fashion.
🔑 Custom keyholders, turning small details into steady income streams.
For migrant returnees restarting their lives and PWDs breaking down societal barriers, these beads are more than decorations; they are stepping stones to financial freedom and entrepreneurial success in Sunyani and its enclaves.
None of this would be possible without the incredible synergy of our partners who believe in the power of grassroots economic empowerment.
We extend our profound gratitude to our donors and partners:
