This afternoon (18th May, 2026), we received a distress call from one of our community partner organizations in the Amankwakrom Afram plains in the Eastern region of Ghana about the collapsed of the Potters Touch Academy classrooms due to a heavy thunderstrom that occured lastnight (17th May, 2026). This school is the only community school with a population of 270 students and 8 teachers. Currently, these school children are back in the house without any means of going back to school now. This is where we need your help to enable us construct a new 6-unit classrooms with office, urinal, toilet facilities and a library. Your kind donations are highly welcome. Exciting news! 🤩We are thrilled to announce that Heritage Charity Foundation is now a member of the International Society of Doctors for Environment

ISDE is an environmental NGO of medical doctors. It is an independent, non-governmental non-profit organisation. It was created on 25 November 1990 (history) and has now national and regional member organisations in over 35 countries. Physicians from these countries are invited to join their national organisations; physicians from other countries are invited to join as direct members.

The Executive Office of ISDE is located in Switzerland. ISDE also has a scientific office, which coordinates research, information and training activities.

The main purpose of ISDE is to help defend our environment both locally and globally to prevent numerous illnesses, ensure the necessary conditions for health, and improve the quality of life. In order to safeguard the health of our own generation and of future ones, we must care for the environment. ISDE was established as a tool for educating and updating physicians and the general public, and stimulating awareness and initiatives by public and private bodies, in particular governmental agencies. The Association intends to reach out to all, as fellow citizens of the world.

Education is the backbone of every developing nation. Unfortunately, children in the Larbikrom rural community are highly deprived of their rights to formal education. The video below is from Larbikrom D/A Junior High School which illustrates the challenges children go through on daily basis just to have a formal education. We're therefore appealing to our benevolent to support us to renovate their 3-unit classroom with office and storage facility, toilet and urinal as well as a modernized library with updated books.
