Education is the backbone of every developing nation. Unfortunately, children in the Larbikrom rural community are highly deprived of their rights to formal education. The video below is from Larbikrom D/A Junior High School which illustrates the challenges children go through on daily basis just to have a formal education. We're therefore appealing to our benevolent to support us to renovate their 3-unit classroom with office and storage facility, toilet and urinal as well as a modernized library with updated books. On May 23, 2025 we posted a desperate video of this aged man requesting for support for hygienic drinking water. HCF officials proceeded to the community to ascertain the issue for themselves and reported that, indeed the Abronye community are in dire need of a good and hygienic source of water. With the generous support from our anonymous donors, we are glad to inform you that we have secured funding and hit the ground today (17/10/2025) to provide the Abronye community in the Sunyani-West municipality in the Bono region of Ghana a borehole. This project is a solar-powered mechanized borehole which will supply the community with about 40,000 litres of water on a daily basis. More project updates to come soon. We bring you testimony from Hajia Alima. She is a 41-year old widow and mother of 7 children living in the Nkwakitiwa community in the Sunyani-West municipality in the Bono region of Ghana. Due to her inability to acquire a farmland, life has become a struggle for her and her 7 children. Fortunately for Hajia, she was rescued by and enrolled into the HCF/100 Weeks program where she's receiving a weekly financial support of 8 Euros for a period of 100 Weeks. In addition to that, she is one of the beneficiaries who received training in snail farming as part of the skills development training program under the HCF/100 Weeks cash+ program. Hajia took her first loan, rented 4 acres of farmland and invested in both cassava and maize cultivation. After repaying her first loan, she took another loan and invested in fish selling as a subsidiary of her agribusiness. With the HCF/100 Weeks program, Hajia and her 7 children soon will graduate from poverty which will enable them to live self-sustainable and financial independence lives.
