We’re sending our congratulations to Kwame, who has now finished Junior High School and is starting a tailoring apprenticeship in Hohoe 🥳🪡🧵

He is currently looking for accommodation whilst he completes the apprenticeship.

Your support helps us continue to provide for children like Kwame in Ghana 🇬🇭🙏🏻.

One of our trustees, Simon, is fundraising at the moment. He’s collecting 6000 aluminium cans (that’s 100kg!) in 6 months from hedgerows and the roadside in West Sussex which will be recycled 🗑️🌱

Please consider supporting us and donating at the link in our bio 🙏🏻🔗

Our scholarship student, Kwame, is heading into his last term at junior high school, and we’re looking ahead to what comes next!

Recently, our team in Ghana met with Kwame’s headteacher to talk through his next steps and how we can best support him as he transitions out of school and into work.

Kwame is keen to find an apprenticeship in Hohoe, and right now the idea that’s really exciting him is tailoring – learning a skill, building confidence, and stepping into a future he can shape with his own hands. 🧵✨

Enquiries are being made locally, and we’re excited to see what’s ahead for Kwame.

This is the kind of support your generosity makes possible – not just getting students through school, but helping them take their next brave step afterwards.

Thank you for being part of Kwame’s story. 🌍💛

A belated Christmas post, but we hope it will still bring some joy! Each year we send a donation for Christmas, a simple way to share a little extra care and joy during the festive season.

With the support of our amazing local team, the gifts were handed out in person (and yes… there were plenty of smiles!).

Thank you for making this possible ✨

Building work of our new facilities is pretty much finished, shown here are the summer hut and the outdoor kitchen.

This week we had a call with the international charity Internation Justice Mission and had some really exciting conversations about the work they do alongside the government and social welfare staff. They currently work in 11 regions in Ghana, including the Volta and have given us lots of useful info as we get ready to fully open.

IJM visited the church I (Kinza) was at as a student and the work they do worldwide to rescue people from trafficking and to prosecute the perpetrators is incredible.

The region our home is based in currently doesn't have a rehabilitation shelter for these children - so we are all working together towards this being the first.

We aim to provide a home for children when they're first rescued, that'll offer them shelter, security, health care, access to education and a place to be loved and enjoy a childhood. Children typically stay between 6 months and 2 years depending on their situation, but the aim is to reunite them with families where possible or with family based long term fostering.

Lots to look forward to... keep us in your prayers and watch this space!
