Community Sustainable Development Network (CSD – Network, Ghana) is a registered rural not for profit educational institution in the Central Region, Ghana to facilitate localized development through education for all and securing the rights of children. Below are some of the ways you can show your support:
1. Support the current education project – Pebi School Complex
This is a day care and chi
ld development center in a small finishing community which has witnessed a series of positive transformations through the support of our Danish partner – 100% for the Children and volunteers of FootPrint International from Denmark. These are vulnerable children – orphans, single parenting and some from marginalised homes that would not afford school fees, educational materials or school uniform. Currently, CSD-Network does not have any strong financial donor to sustain the project hence Ghana Education Service (GES) absorption is our key strategy for sustainability of quality education in Pebi. However, while we are working to meet the requirements there is an urgent need for support to keep the programme running. How you can get involve
A). Support a child’s education by supporting teachers’ salary/allowance
It costs only 80 euros per month to keep a teacher on the job- offering quality education and help to these children. Teachers on the project are currently volunteering and not on salary. Support Education material by donating any amount to support materials such as pencils, pens, and exercise books. CSD-Network has the vision to also establish an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Center in the school hence we welcome donation of computers, printer and projector to boost ICT lessons.
2. Volunteer opportunities
There are volunteering opportunities where volunteers can help in the following categories;
i.) Teach English, Mathematics or Computer knowledge
ii.) Help children with creative art lessons (drawing, singing and dancing)
iii.) Assist on sporting activities to improve health of children or help at the school garden
iv.) Assist in school improvement activities like decoration and flower gardening. Initiate your own project to solve an identified problem or any project of interest
vi.) Work at CSD-Network secretariat to assist in design and implementation of strategies
vii.) Advocacy – assist in organising community forums for community sensitization on health, education and sanitation. Interested people can apply by sending an email to [email protected] or [email protected] for further detail.
3. Become a member. It is prestigious to be attached to our success story by becoming a member with an annual subscription of 100 Euros. It is important to recall your help will create a big difference! We need your support to help in these children’s educational development and also reach out to the hundreds of disadvantaged children in rural communities of Ghana.
