The World Trade Organization is currently looking for talent for its Young Trade Leaders programme, bringing together passionate individuals shaping the future of global trade.
The WTO Young Trade Leaders cohort invites young people aged 18 to 28 from around the world to share perspectives on the future of global trade and WTO reform ahead of the 14th Ministerial Conference (MC14) in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
The WTO Ministerial Conference is the organisation’s highest decision-making body, bringing together trade ministers from all WTO members every two years. MC14 is widely seen as an important “reform” Ministerial, focused on addressing long-standing institutional challenges such as dispute settlement, negotiating processes, and the WTO’s ability to respond to today’s economic and development realities. The direction set at MC14 could shape the relevance of the multilateral trading system in the coming years, particularly for younger generations.
