*Bad Roads Choke Ningo’s Smoked Fish Trade — Export Buyers Turn Back at Ahwiam*
Through our visit Ningo campaign, we were contacted by a group of people who were interested in buying smoked fish for export. They came with their cars and we started the journey from New Ningo Station to Old Ningo, through to some of the province of Great Ningo, Ahwiam and Mangotsonya. The road was very discouraging to our visitors and also even to people in the town. They say the road doesn't encourage people to come buy both fresh and smoked fish from them. And also, they find it difficult to travel with the fish to the mainland due to high transport fees from drivers because of the bad road.
