*MEMORY VERSE:*
Romans 12:3
_For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith._

Your character will always make you behave in a certain way peculiar to you. People will come around you and will form perceptions about you by reason of your behaviour, whether good or bad.

People would not love to tell you how they see you, especially when they notice that you hardly accept your mistakes to correct them. Surely, it is not a nice thing when other people address your 'weaknesses'. Yet, until you create a kind of atmosphere around you, where others can freely tell you what they have realized about you, what you think about yourself might probably be leading you to a dead end.

You need to hear this: God Himself might not reveal Himself to you as much as you want until you humbly give room for advice. Moses allowed his father-in-law's *good* advice, and he was blessed in the end (Exodus 18:13-24).

*PRAYER:* I refuse to be too big to be approached and advised, in Jesus' name.

*INSIGHT:* You cannot live in society and grow above receiving advice. Humble yourself, and the Lord will hear your prayers (2 Chronicles 34:27).

*TOPIC: PECULIAR FIRE*

*MEMORY VERSE:* _Acts 19:12 [KJV] So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them._

What kind of fire and anointing is this?? Even so much that the clothes of an individual can heal the sick? This is indeed a mystery. What happened? Why was it so?

This fire is peculiar for a reason. There is something about God which is so unexplainable. His ways are beyond mere human understanding. The Lord always proves a point in the lives of His servants, the prophets (us). He always proves that for whom He chooses, He calls; for whom He calls, He equips; for whom He equips, He predestined; for whom He predestined, He justified; and for whom He justified, He glorified.
This is so prevalent in our text, and this kind of anointing and fire can be an every-moment ball game in life.

To be able to manifest such fire and anointing, first and foremost, you must hold on strong to the faith which we profess. This is easier said than done because in a world of so much compromising, even unto our faith, it takes the "strong elite in Faith" to be able to withstand the terrific winds of this world. Nothing good comes on a silver platter. To go up higher, you must go down deeper. No great tree touches the horizon of the sky without its roots digging deep into the nutrients of the soil underneath it, in which it grows. The same applies to manifesting an unshaken faith in such perilous times. To show forth the glory, you must go forth into the very place where it emerged from; the source. That is the only way. Live the concept.

*PRAYER:* Break loose, oh my gifts, unto the glory of the Lord in Jesus' Name

*INSIGHT:* A watered horse runs and shows forth great might; it never grows weary.

*TOPIC: THE MYSTERY*

*MEMORY VERSE:* _Ephesians 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel._

This is a mystery that the prophets and apostles of past generations did not understand. However, how great is God's love for us that He chose to reveal this mystery to us! Indeed, the love God has for us surpasses all knowledge.

Initially, we were dead in our sins and trespasses, but He made us alive. Upon giving us life, He made us fellow heirs to His inheritance. Now, He has promised us *every* spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.

He guaranteed this promise by sealing it with the Holy Spirit, whom He calls the Holy Spirit of Promise. God was very specific when He said "every spiritual blessing." Therefore, we are rich in health through Christ, and we are more than conquerors through Him. We have been given everything we need through Christ.

Understanding the revelation of God's love edifies and empowers us to declare these blessings. This is why the devil tries to make us feel unloved and to convince us that God does not love us any more, especially when we sin.

But it is time for us to realise that God does not condemn us; it is the devil who does so. In this New Year, walk with the mindset that you are royal, for you are a fellow heir of His inheritance.

*PRAYER:* Oh Father in Heaven, I sincerely pray that You enlighten the eyes of my understanding so that I may realise the depth, height, length, and width of Your love for me. Amen.

*INSIGHT:* The love of God for us is beyond knowledge, so walk with the mindset that you are rooted and grounded in His love—a love that comes with every spiritual blessing.

*TOPIC: A PLACE OF SOLITUDE*

*MEMORY VERSE:*
Mark 1:35
_And in the morning,rising up a great while before day, He went out,and departed into solitary place,and there prayed_

Solitude is the act of separating yourself from the masses so that one can engage his or her maker (God) through the study of the Word, meditation, and praying.

The above text we read says Jesus separated himself from His disciples so he could engage his heavenly father for fresh anointing, inspiration, and direction.

As Christians, we must learn from our Lord Jesus Christ how He separated himself from the people and engaged God.

Beloved let us learn to separate ourselves from the masses so we can engage God through bible studies, meditation, fasting, and prayer in other to receive direction, inspiration, and strength to be victorious in our Christian journey.

*PRAYER:* Dear Lord, help me to cultivate the habit of solitude to receive your fresh anointing and strength.

*INSIGHT:* God reveals Himself when we fellowship with Him.

*TOPIC: BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT; A NECESSITY FOR EVERY CHRISTIAN (Part 2)*

*MEMORY VERSE:* _Luke 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:_

In the first part of this study, we looked at desiring for that higher spiritual experience of Baptism of the Holy Spirit that Jesus brought to us in the New Covenant. It should be the desire of every Christian to experience and receive this in-filling each day for victorious Christian living.

The difference between one Christian who will be happy because it's raining heavily on Sunday morning - hence no Church, and the other who will feel sad in his spirit and will either walk through the rain or create a personal fellowship(Greek: koinonia) for those 3 hours at home, to compensate for being hindered by the rain, is that the latter understands the essence of the Holy Spirit's in-filling and has cultivated the habit of intimacy with Him.

Feeling bored and lonely will not be the usual vocabulary of the Christian who has experienced this baptism and its continual in-filling. The reason is that, in those seemingly lonely moments, he is not alone. To him, the Holy Spirit is that personal companion who is right there with and in him. (John 14:17).

I'm sure you (if you have experienced Baptism and I, then-filling) can identify with the few experiences I have shared and would have more to share as well. But if this whole narration seems abstract to you reader, th,en please resolve to launch into the deep, because you have not begun yet (Luke 5:4b). There is more in the spirit to delve into.

*PRAYER:* Thank you Holy Spirit for this life of ecstasy you bring to our Christian lives. I want to experience your in-filling from today. Immerse me in your love in Jesus' name. Amen.

*INSIGHT:* Life in the Spirit is never in the abstract. It is a real experience to desire for.

*TOPIC: PRAYER!!! THE SPIRITUAL CONVERSATION*

*MEMORY VERSE:* _John 4:24 "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."_

God created man in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:27), but due to the actions of the first Adam, our spirits became dead (Genesis 2:17). Christ Jesus, our Lord, came to restore the missing link we had with God—the Spirit of Life.

Unbelievers have a dead spirit, but when a person accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior, the Spirit of God comes to reside within their human spirit, enabling them to connect with God. This transformation makes prayer a spiritual conversation, something that nature cannot comprehend (1 Corinthians 14:14).

Prayer keeps us in touch with our Father, who delights in making His children prosperous. It is only through prayer and the Word that we can understand who we are, what we are called to do, and what we are meant to be.

With our Omnipresent Father, prayer is not limited to chapels and prayer camps, so we should pray without ceasing.

*PRAYER:* Dear Lord, instill in me a desire for prayer and help me understand its importance in my relationship with You.

*INSIGHT:* Prayer keeps us connected with our Father, who delights in making His children prosperous. Only through prayer and the Word can we know who we are, what we are called to do, and what we are meant to be.

*TOPIC: THE COMFORTER*

*MEMORY VERSE :*
_John 14:26_
_But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you_

A comforter in Greek is Parakletos. Parakletos means an advocate, helper, counsellor, coach, etc. The Holy Ghost is the Paraclete. The Holy Spirit was sent by, the Father in the name of the Son. We know that God is true. And we have the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the *Pneuma*. That is, He is the wind of God. He is the breath of God. And so in the beginning, He existed as the wind and brooded over the surface of the deep. He also existed as the breath of God when God breathed into us the breath of life. In Matthew 1:20, the seed in Mary was of the Holy Ghost so when Jesus Christ was birthed out, the Holy Spirit was birthed out, but this time in a human form so we could see and touch. So Jesus had to manifest the gene in Him. And now, when Jesus Christ was leaving, He said He wanted us to also inherit this gene (The Holy Ghost). That's why He said "greater things will we do," thanks to Him.

The Spirit is going to teach us all things (mysteries) and bring all things to our remembrance.
This is because Jesus Christ had in Him the Holy Spirit and so the words He spoke were mysteries. The gene is equal to the Holy Spirit and is also the Comforter, Helper, and hence, the Spirit of mysteries.

*PRAYER:* Let's pray that the Lord enlightens us more on who the Comforter is to us.

*INSIGHT:* The Comforter who is the Holy Spirit guides us into all truths (mysteries).
