JULEX PCOS FOUNDATION is a foundation created for educational and awareness purposes for Polycystic O***y syndrome (PCOS ) a complex medical condition and hormonal problem that affects 1 out of 10 women of reproductive age.
1.PCOS has no cure,but it can only be managed through exercise and lifestyle changes
2. The cause of this condition is unknown but WHO says it is genetic ,and it's environmental
3. PCOS discovered by 2 American gynecologist Iving Sterin and Michael Levandal in 1935
4.one of the major causes of infertility in women
5.PCOS is prevalence yet underrated and misunderstood
6. Some women with PCOS have high male androgens
7. They suffer from high insulin resulting into them suffering from Type 2 diabetes
8. Some are hypertensive
9. Irregular menstrual periods, (a) excessive heavy flows (b) no menstrual flows (c)spotting (d) heavy menstrual cramps (e) blood clotting
10. sleep apnea
11. Excessive fatigue
12. High cholesterol
13.Blurry visions
14. sugar craving
These are the four different types of PCOS
1. INSULIN RESISTANCE
2. IMFLAMMATORY
3. ADRENAL
4. POST PILLS.
Note that early detection is key .
