Hello from Father Paul!
Fr. Paul Esibu wants to connect our youth with his youth.
Many of you have asked about Father Paul. He is busy in his role as Diocesan Financial Administrator. He continues to be passionate about the youth as you can see from this photo.
We are very excited to announce the beginning of a project to support the youth in Father Paul’s village in Sekondi Takoradi Ghana
Father Paul shared with us years ago that the youth in his village are in dire need of healthy mentorship and education over drugs and destruction. We began to dream together as to how Divine Redeemer and St. James school could help. Through prayers, dreaming and discussion, we have received a long term ask from Father Paul’s diocese to eventually build a youth center in his village. This project is one that will be ongoing.
Today, we will begin with relationship building and support from our parish and school families We would like to invite each of you to join in this mission as we form pen pals between our youth and the youth in Father Paul’s village.
Here are a few options:
* A teacher or catechist might choose to “adopt” a class of the same age from Ghana for the youth to bond and get to know one another personally through mail.
* A family may choose to “adopt” a family and become pen pals with their youth. Individual students/youth may want to be paired with a student/youth from Ghana to begin a pen pal communication.

In the coming weeks, we will also announce a list of basic needs to collect for the youth in Father Paul’s village as well as a mechanism for contributing financially to develop the youth center.
