According to a recent poll conducted by our team in January 2022, eight out of ten pupils in a Kwahu Junior high school have never seen, built, or interacted with a STEM kit. Approximately 90% of these pupils are unaware that computers can be used to create robots, smart watches, or flashlights. Majority had never done a science experiment since beginning school and about half talked about their lost interest in STEM because it seems inaccessible. As part of our mission to promote STEM education among Kwahu's youth, Kwahu STEM team plan to tackle these issues through a series of training programs.

Our maiden team onboarding session via Zoom took off successfully today. Thanks to everyone who made it possible. Our next major activity is a Bootcamp at Obomeng-Kwahu with Mr. Joshua Opoku Agyeman, president of the IoT Network Hub- Africa during the Kwahu Easter break. This workshop is planned to provide free training in computer programming, robotics, 3D printing, electronics and Virtual Reality to roughly 50 youths in the Kwahu community. Training STEM teachers to uncover students' full potential. STEM instructors must be trained to "ignite" students' curiosity in order to spark innovations in our classrooms and communities. It is the questions, not the answers, that drive innovation.
