The University of Ghana Nursing and Midwifery Students' Association (UGHANMSA) is the mother association of all nursing and midwifery students in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana, Legon. The motto of the Association is " KNOWLEDGE AND SERVICE"
The slogan of the Association is "AMBASSADORS OF HEALTH"
The objectives of the Association comprise po
litical, economic, social and educational objectives. POLITICAL OBJECTIVES
1. UGHANMSA shall be a democratic Association dedicated to the realization of freedom and justice ; and accordingly, sovereignty resides in its members.
2.UGHANMSA shall promote just and reasonable access by all members to its facilties and services in accordance with the law.
3. UGHANMSA shall actively promote the integration of members and prohibit discrimination and prejudice on grounds of place of birth, circumstances of birth, ethnic origin, gender, levels or class or group in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, creed, religion, or former school of affiliation.
4. As far as practicable, governing bodies shall continue and execute projects and programs commenced by previous governing bodies.
