Earlier this week, our team reached out to three basic schools in the Atebubu-Amantin Municipality as part of our flagship Project Healthy School initiative.
During the visits, we delivered health education sessions on personal hygiene, proper handwashing techniques, and the critical times for handwashing to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
To reinforce these healthy practices, we also created an enabling environment for students to adopt and sustain positive hand hygiene behaviours by providing handwashing facilities in the participating schools.
At PHAN Ghana, we believe that we are part of Ghana's solution to its public health challenges. We remain committed to complementing government efforts by contributing to the development of sustainable preventive health ecosystem in our schools and communities.
We are grateful to the headteachers and staff of Atebubu Umul Qurah Islamic Primary School, Bolga Nkwanta M/A Primary School, and Paul Adunia M/A Primary School for the opportunity to engage with their pupils and support their efforts to promote healthy school environments.
Special appreciation to Abdul-Mumin Muhammad and our volunteers for their service.
