Regional Councils of the
Boys' Brigade in Ghana are very
important structures in the day to day
running of the activities of the Boys' Brigade
in Ghana. The functions of the Regional Councils
are achieved by working very closely with the various
District Councils in the Regions.The Regional Councils serve
as the hub between the National Council of the Boys' Brigade
and the District Councils of the Brigade. It is by the effective
co - ordination of the Regional Councils programmes that
makes the National Council strong as an organization. They actually organize several programmes such as

THE J. STANLEY-OWUSU CONNEXIONAL BAND FESTIVAL IS HERE WITH US AGAIN

The 🎺 trumpets are blowing loud, the drums are rolling smart.

🥰The 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘿𝙀𝘾𝘼𝘿𝙀 𝙅𝙐𝘽𝙄𝙇𝙀𝙀 of the J. Stanley-Owusu Connexional Band Festival is approaching fast - Starts from the Circuits this March and April.

😎Circuits should be intentional to organise at least one activity to strengthen the base and prepare for the Diocesan band festival.

🎯Mobilise your bandsmen to represent live and ready

🚀 The festival will be launched at the Wesley Methodist Cathedral, Sunyani on 29th March 2026.

Kumasi can’t wait to host the Connexional finals this September

Bro. Joseph Kwabena Kukuruku until his appointment, was the Band Master of the AMB, Kumasi Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana. He has been a dedicated member of the Kumasi Diocesan Band since 2012, serving faithfully and contributing significantly to the growth and excellence of church music across the Diocese.

As Band Master, Bro. Joseph led the Kumasi Diocesan Band to win the 9th Biennial J. Stanley-Owusu Connexional Band Festival in 2024, emerging champions in both Concert and Display categories — a historic milestone for the Diocese.

Beyond his Diocesan mandate, he served as Band Master for the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Regimental Band from 2018 to 2020, where he provided strong musical direction and mentorship to young musicians.

Joseph is also an accomplished instrumentalist. In 2018, he was awarded Best Saxophonist at the 7th Biennial J. Stanley-Owusu Connexional Band Festival, underscoring his musical skill and dedication.

Bro. Joseph worships at Calvary Methodist Society, Amakom, and remains passionate about music, leadership and nurturing disciplined, spiritually grounded musicians within the church.
