Bechem United FC and Diaspora Africa Forum (DAF), in collaboration with Miracle Africa International Foundation (MAIF), organized the 4th edition of the Education Through Sports Tournament on 19th June at the Ajiringanor Astroturf in Accra, Ghana. This initiative’s technical sponsor was sportswear company Sportika.

The gala dinner brought together many notable figures, including the Minister for Sports and Recreation Ghana, Hon. Kofi Adams; President for Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs and Paramount Chief of Nungua Traditional Area, His Royal Majesty Oboade Notse King Prof. Odaifio Walensi III; Ambassador Dr. Ekieka Bennett, Founder and Head of Mission, DAF; Ms. Nadia Murabet, Founder and President of MAIF and pioneer of Education Through Sports; Mr. Kingsley Owusu Achau, Founder of Bechem United FC; and Mr. Carlo Crosio, Founder of Sportika.

At the dinner, eight outstanding footballers received Education Through Sports scholarships of GHC5000 each to be enrolled at the Diaspora African Forum Youth Empowerment Training Center (DAFYETC). This training seeks to empower and equip young and talented players with the requisite skills and knowledge to make them competitive on the world stage.

The athletes receiving the awards were: Inusah Abubakar, Abdulai Baba Moro, Asare Kofi Dabie Emmanuel, Rasco Abassah London, Ramsey Antwi, Hussein Yahaya, William Kofi Arthur and Naseem Issaka.

Bechem United FC, DAF and MAIF express our sincere gratitude to those who supported and participated in making this tournament and dinner a success. We look forward to future editions of the tournament and the award of further scholarships for deserving athletes.

Miracleafrica International Foundation and marked a special day in December 23,2024 for the children of Kumasi Children’s Orphange Home as they received a generous donation from the Miracle Africa International Foundation and the Diaspora African Forum (DAF).This charitable event was part of Dr. Bennett’s Day, dubbed “Education through Sports,” a partnership project aimed at promoting education and empowerment through sports.The donation, which included essential items and sports equipment, was warmly received by the children and staff of the orphanage. This act of kindness demonstrates the commitment of the Diaspora African Forum and Miracle Africa International Foundation to supporting the well-being and development of young people in Ghana. Miracle Africa International Foundation is proud to partner with the Diaspora African Forum, which has dedicated a special day with its festivities to celebrate Christmas with the children of the Kumasi Children's Home, an event fondly known as Dr. Bennett Day in honor of Ambassador Erieka Bennett. On this day, we aim to bring joy to the children by providing them with books, food, toys, and essential items. This year, we are focusing on Education Through Sports. Our plans also include donating sports supplies to the orphanage, organizing a football match, and providing books and stationery to enhance the children's educational experience. Currently, in the orphanage home, there are 888 children, 23 children between the ages of zero and five years old, 30 children between six to 10 years old, 20 children between 11 and 18, and 14 adults 18 years and above.
