Through the FOMWAG Book Donation Drive, we are calling on individuals, organisations and partners to support learners with essential educational materials.

* GH₵100 → 25–40 exercise books
* GH₵500 → 125–200 exercise books
* GH₵1,000 → 250–400 exercise books

Reflecting on a Journey of Impact 📚❤️

Yesterday, we held our final stakeholder engagement under the Volunteering for Change – Community Empowerment Through Literacy Project at Adukrom Presbyterian Church. It was a meaningful opportunity to meet with our dedicated teacher volunteers, resource persons, FOMWAG project team members, and school leaders to reflect on the journey we have shared.

Together, we celebrated the progress we made, openly discussed the challenges we encountered, and identified areas where we can continue to improve. One of the most inspiring sessions was brainstorming practical ways to sustain the project’s impact beyond the funding period by STAR-Ghana Foundation

We were honored to have the former President of FOMWAG and the Headmistress of ADENYASE primary School join us and contribute valuable insights to the discussion. The commitment, passion, and ideas shared by everyone reminded us that lasting change is possible when communities work together.

As we bring this phase of the project to a close, our commitment to improving literacy remains stronger than ever. We sincerely thank every volunteer, teacher, resource person, partner, and stakeholder whose time, dedication, and service have contributed to transforming the learning experiences of children in our communities.

Together, we are empowering communities through literacy—one child, one volunteer, and one school at a time. 💙📖

Yesterday, I had the privilege of representing FOMWAG alongside Iman Mohammed Zeedabu at the 4th Ghana Civil Society Forum, held under the theme:

“Reimagining Partnerships for Democratic Consolidation and Inclusive Development.”

It was a day of learning, networking, and meaningful discussions on strengthening democracy, promoting accountability, and building stronger partnerships for Ghana’s development.

One message that stood out to me was that civil society organizations are not adversaries of government but strategic partners in nation-building.

As we continue to serve our communities, let us work together to promote inclusion, empower women and young people, and build a stronger Ghana.

Looking forward to Day Two!
