Regional Youth Network - on Constitutional Reforms (Accra, 29 Aug – 1 Sept 2026)
Linda Akoswa Fremah Taatuo recently represented the Ashanti Regional Youth Network at a 2½-day Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop on Constitutional Reforms in Accra, organised by Citizens Platform on Constitutional Reforms, CDD-Ghana - Ghana Center for Democratic Development and partners- FCDO travel advice
We engaged deeply with:
The Constitutional Review Committee (CRC) report
The Government’s position paper on the CRC report
The way forward for youth and our platforms on the proposed reforms
A key question guiding our discussions:
What is young people’s position on the CRC reforms? How is the process going? And how will the constitutional language be shaped to be clear and accessible to ordinary citizens?
Next steps / Way forward
Step-down training on the CRC reforms (proposed mid-September; date to be confirmed)
Public advocacy from September to December in schools, markets, lorry stations, and through radio and media campaigns
All members are encouraged to be on standby to participate in and support these activities when they begin. More details will be shared on the platform soon.
