🎉💫🏆🥚Exciting news: Hospitality with Heart Awards, celebrating True Champions of Compassion for Chickens
On July 30, 2026, Animal Welfare League organized the Hospitality with Heart Awards to celebrate hotels under the Champion of Compassion category of the newly published Ghana Hotels Benchmark, a ranking that assesses hotels based on their commitment to high animal welfare standards across their operations. It brought together representatives from hotels across Ghana, alongside members of the media.
The event opened with remarks from the Animal Welfare League team, followed by an introduction to the Hospitality with Heart Awards, including reflections on last year’s Ghana Cage-Free Ranking.
Among those recognized were hotels under the Champion of Compassion category, the benchmark’s top tier, honoring hotels that are transparently reporting on and making real progress toward cage-free egg sourcing.
By maintaining high animal welfare standards in their operations, these hotels are significantly reducing the pain and suffering of millions of hens, a genuine show of compassion, leadership, and accountability.
