🚀 Empowering 34 Young Women in : ACTIVATE Project Training Begins!
This week marked the official launch of our 4-week practical training under the ACTIVATE Project, implemented by EMB Ahenfie in partnership with Social Enterprise Ghana .
From Tuesday, September 1st through September 7th, 34 young women gathered at to kick off Week 1, dedicated entirely to Practical Baking.
Across the first four days, our participants:
- Received a thorough Orientation & Safeguarding briefing to ensure a safe, inclusive, and hygienic learning environment.
- Learned the craft of Poloo, Chinchin, Piped Cookies, Shortbread Cookies, and Bofrot (Buffloaf) production.
- Worked collaboratively in 3 practical teams under the guidance of expert trainers to hone their recipes, measurements, and baking techniques.
What’s Next?
On Monday, September 7th, the energy reaches a new level!
The teams will take full control of the kitchen for an Independent Practical Evaluation. With zero intervention from trainers or supervisors, participants will demonstrate everything they’ve learned—helping us gather critical feedback on their mastery of the baking process.
Immediately after, we dive straight into Week 2: Yogurt Production & Preservation! 🥛
