On Friday, 14 November, we kick-started the TiME program in Northern Region with Northern School of Business (NOBISCO).

25 mathematics teachers participated in the workshop, with many offering invaluable insights that will shape the program's course moving forward.

A full rollout of the remaining phases will be implemented to augment the school's already thrilling STEM performance. Much appreciation to the Regional GES Directorate and the leadership of NOBISCO.

In collaboration with Ghana Education Service โ€“๐๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ง ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง, this next phase will train more teachers, empower more students, and strengthen the integration of scientific calculator technology in STEM education.

Last week, we were excited to train the dedicated teachers of ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐š ๐’๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ฎ ๐’๐‡๐’, Bolgatanga, under our Technology-Integrated Mathematics Education (TiME) Program.

Through this session, teachers explored practical ways to integrate scientific calculators in lessons, ensuring students are well-prepared for๐’๐“๐„๐Œ ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ .

As part of our commitment, we also provided the school with ๐‚๐š๐ฅ๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐œ๐ฌresources to strengthen mathematics teaching and learning. ๐Ÿ“˜

When a school with an already impressive Mathematics legacy at the WASSCE opens its doors for further learning, you know the future is bright.

It was a true honour for us to take the Mathematics teachers of ๐๐จ๐ญ๐ซ๐ž ๐ƒ๐š๐ฆ๐ž ๐’๐ž๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐’๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ง๐๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐’๐œ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐š๐ฏ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐จ through the Technology-Integrated Mathematics Education (TiME) Programโ€”a powerful reminder that even the best always strive to get better.

On Friday, May 9, the Global CalMathics Institute for Inclusive Education and Technology trained 22 mathematics teachers at Navrongo SHS, in the Upper East Region of Ghana, through the ๐“๐ž๐œ๐ก๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ-๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ฌ ๐„๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง (๐“๐ข๐Œ๐„) ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ

๐ŸŒŸ TIME Coordinator Spotlight: Mr. Ibrahim Imurana โ€“ Empowering STEM Education at Azantilow SHTS! ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ“š

Meet Mr. Ibrahim Imurana, the Head of Mathematics Department at Azantilow SHTS in Sandema, Upper East Region, and one of the driving forces behind the success of CalMathics and the TiME Program powered by G-CIIETech.
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Hereโ€™s what Mr. Ibrahim Imurana has to say about their experience:

"CalMathics has given my students renewed hope by providing an affordable and practical way to understand mathematical concepts. With the aid of a scientific calculator and the step-by-step Do-It-Yourself CalMathics manual, they are now more confident in problem-solving. Truly, CalMathics is the hope for senior high students."

As the TiME project coordinator as well the HoD for Mathematics department, he has been at the forefront of ensuring that students and educators alike benefit from the tools and resources provided by the TiME Program.

๐ŸŒŸ Exciting Update: The TiME Program is Transforming STEM Education in Upper West Region! ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ“š

In May 2024, the Upper West Regional Ghana Education Service collaborated with the Global CalMathics Institute for Inclusive Education and Technology (G-CIIETech) to implement the Technology-Integrated Mathematics Education (TiME) Program in 12 Senior High Schools across the region.

Fast forward to todayโ€”weโ€™re thrilled to share that the project is already underway! ๐ŸŽ‰
Weโ€™ve started working with several schools, and the impact has been incredible:

โœ… Students are mastering scientific calculator usage to boost performance in STEM subjects.

โœ… Teachers are integrating technology into their lessons, making learning more practical and engaging.

โœ… Confidence in mathematics is rising, with students demonstrating improved problem-solving skills.

This partnership is a major milestone in our mission to make STEM education accessible, inclusive, and technology-driven.
