Missahoe Montessori School will officially open its new school building in August.

This is a huge milestone for Missahoe, and one that has only been possible because of the support, generosity, and encouragement of so many people over the years.

To everyone who has donated, shared, fundraised, helped, visited, supported, or simply followed the journey, thank you.

Every contribution has helped bring the school closer to this point.

We are now transferring the final money required for the building itself, as the team completes the ceilings, electrical work, and painting ahead of the opening. So this will be the last glimpse of the school before the doors officially open.

The new building will provide Missahoe with a permanent home for its pupils, teachers, and wider school community.

We will also continue supporting Missahoe to make sure the classrooms are fully equipped and ready for the children.

Thank you again to everyone who has been part of this project.

New block. New beginning.

In London to get my Visa for my next Ghana 🇬🇭 trip and decided to squeeze in a 10k race and another 6 miles for Missahoe! Came 27th overall and was 27 seconds off my overall PB. Definitely getting closer to cracking that 💪🏼. No cheering section today, but managed to call just as I was crossing the finish line.
Still a chunk to go for my annual target, but I’m chipping away. Donations can be made at the link in the bio!

Did the Jubilee Bridge - Half Marathon today. Finished with a time of 1:46:21 💪🏼🥰 Nice to box off another 13 miles for Missahoe and was class to do my first ever hometown race. Made such a difference having a cheering section at the end!!

Got my miles for Missahoe at Chicago Hometown 10k today (although my Garmin disagreed that it was a 10k haha). Managed to come 4th overall and 1st in my age group 🥇🥳 which is making my calf cramps worth it 🤣

While I’ve been running, the building team in Ghana have been plumbing… and refurbing the toilet and shower block ☺️ to donate toward the final stages of the project, follow the link in the bio.

Used this week in Iceland to box off some Miles for Misshoe in on the mountains and forests around Reykjavik.
I definitely have some catching up to do though… I’ve currently ran 450 miles of the 2026 target. Meaning I’ll be looking to start averaging around 45 miles a week going forward.
I’ve finally chose some races to do later in the year now though, so will be building up and factoring those into my plan too.
To donate to the Missahoe orphanage and school build follow the link in the bio 💪🏼🏃

Congratulations to who graduated from university this weekend. For the last years, Mawusi has been studying a Human Resource Managment degree (alongside running Missahoe Orphanage, being headmistress of the school, and managing the building project!). Super impressive, and happy you’re being celebrated this week!
