Kpando Municipal District HIV Fact Sheet – 2025

Kpando Municipality recorded 32 new HIV infections in 2025. Currently, about 918 people are living with HIV in the municipality (258 males, 585 females, and 75 children). Of these, 183 people are not on treatment.

If you are among those living with HIV and not yet on medication, please go for your medication without delay. Treatment is available, it works, and it protects both you and others.

The general community is urged to take note of these figures and remain cautious. Know your status, practice safer behaviours, and support those on treatment.

Akpinifia Okpekpewuokpe Dagadu IX and other chiefs in China

delegation of traditional rulers from the Volta Region has arrived in China to pursue investment partnerships aimed at accelerating development in the region.

The team is in China at the invitation of Ghana's Ambassador to China, H.E. Kojo Bonsu, and is led by the President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV of Anfoega.

The chiefs, whose trip is being coordinated by businessman Mr. Peter Ahiakpor, include Togbe Gabusu VII of Hohoe, Togbe Atikpladza Agbi Yao VIII of Kpalime, Togbe Sei II of Botoku, Togbe Dagadu IX of Kpando, Torgbui Tenge Dzokoto Gligui VII of Anyako, and Torgbui Adama III of Some.
