As part of the pink month (breast cancer) activities for this year, the Kpandai District Community Foundation LBG was on Asase FM and educated the public in Twi, Nawuri, and Konkomba languages.

We are still raising funds to send the 21 identified suspected cases after our free screening to TTH (Tamale Teaching Hospital)

FUNDRAISING FOR BIOPSY AT THE TAMALE TEACHING HOSPITAL (TTH) AFTER THE FREE BREAST CANCER SCREENING

21 suspected cases of breast cancer were identified during our free breast cancer screening, out of the total who came for the free screening.

Rather than just end it there, the Kpandai District Community Foundation is raising funds to support the community members with the suspected cases to do BIOPSY at TTH.

Knowing we can do more together than we can individually, the Foundation is soliciting for funds for the aforementioned as you (community members - groups and individuals, religious organisations, and other stakeholders within the Kpandai District and the diaspora, as well as partners) have usually done - giving massive support for our projects.

Kpandai District Community Foundation prostate cancer awareness: Blue month.
Prostate cancer is a significant and increasing public health problem in Ghana, marked by low awareness late - stage diagnosis, and high mortality rates.
It is a leading cause of cancer death and most common among men, with incidence rates potentially high possibly excceeding4 200 per 100,000 in some areas. Challenges include poor health- seeking behaviour limited access to early screening, lack of comprehensive cancer registries, contributing to advanced diagnoses and poor survival outcomes.
