The Coalition for Mental Health and Citizen Empowerment (CMCE), in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service (Department of Mental Health) and the Ghana Police Police Service Organised a radio talk show on the ropic :

The conversation shedd light on the dangers of drug abuse and its far-reaching effects on the health, safety, and future of our young people.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ A Mental Health Officer emphasized:

โ€œWhat we are seeing today is a growing public health challenge. Drug abuse among the youth is affecting their mental well-being, productivity, and overall life outcomes. Early intervention is key.โ€

๐Ÿ‘ฎ A DOVVSU Officer added:

โ€œMany cases we handle are linked to substance abuse. Addressing this issue is not only about enforcement but also education and prevention.โ€

World Mangrove Day 2025 โ€“ Celebrating Nature, Empowering Youth! ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒŠ

Today, we join the global community to commemorate World Mangrove Day, a moment to reflect on the vital role mangroves play in protecting our coastlines, preserving biodiversity, and fighting climate change.

In line with this yearโ€™s theme and our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, the Coalition for Maternal Health and Citizen Empowerment (CMCE-Ghana), in collaboration with our partners, has undertaken a series of initiatives as a broader strategy to mitigate the impacts of climate.

๐ŸŒฟ Refresher Training for Ecovista club members in selected basic schools to strengthen their understanding of climate action and environmental sustainability.
๐Ÿ“š Eco-Quiz Competition to test and reward the knowledge of our young environmental champions.
๐ŸŒณ Educational Field Trip to the Bia Forest Carbon Tower, offering hands-on learning about carbon storage and ecosystem services.
๐ŸŒฑ Planting of over 1,000 tree seedlings across Ecovista Club communities nurturing future forests and promoting climate resilience.
These actions are a testament to our belief that youth empowerment and environmental education go hand-in-hand in building a greener, more sustainable future.
