STUDENTS EMPOWERMENT SUMMIT 2026.
On the 30th and 31st July, 2026, Hon. Bismark Adjei Sarfo, the member of Youth Model Parliament-YMP for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency organized an impactful Youth Empowerment Summit for students in his beloved constituency.
The Theme for this engagement was:
"Building the Youth, Growing the Future"
The summit was designed to inspire, educate, and empower Senior High School students within the constituency by equipping them with knowledge and practical skills in leadership, entrepreneurship, career development, drug abuse prevention, and personal growth.
The program featured students from four Senior High Schools within the constituency:
1. Bibiani Senior High Technical School
2. Sefwi Bekwai Senior High School
3. Awaso STEM Senior High School
4. Chirano Community Day School
The summit sought to:
Promote effective and responsible leadership among students.
Educate students on the dangers and effects of drug abuse.Encourage entrepreneurial thinking and innovation.Inspire students to pursue academic excellence and personal development.Create a platform for interaction between students and experienced resource persons.
Build confidence and prepare students for future opportunities.
The event featured a series of educational presentations, motivational talks, interactive discussions, and mentorship sessions. Resource persons shared insights on Leadership Development
Centering on qualities of effective leaders, the importance of integrity, discipline, accountability, and service to society.
They were encouraged to become positive agents of change within their schools and communities. Participants were introduced to entrepreneurial opportunities and encouraged to develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and self-reliance. Emphasis was placed on transforming ideas into sustainable ventures.
The Students were sensitized on the harmful effects of substance abuse on health, academic performance, and future career prospects. The session encouraged students to make informed and responsible choices.
For gender inclusion, Female students were inspired to pursue leadership positions, academic excellence, and professional careers while breaking societal barriers and stereotypes.
Students interacted with speakers and mentors who shared personal experiences and practical advice regarding education, career planning, and personal growth.
The summit recorded an impressive turnout from the participating schools. School authorities, teachers, student leaders, invited guests, and stakeholders actively participated in the program. The level of engagement during presentations and question-and-answer sessions demonstrated the students' enthusiasm and commitment to learning.
The summit achieved significant success and produced positive outcomes, including:
1. Increased awareness among students on the dangers of drug abuse.
2. Enhanced understanding of leadership principles and civic responsibility.
3. Improved interest in entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities.
4. Increased confidence among students, particularly young women, to pursue leadership roles.
5. Strengthened collaboration between schools and youth development stakeholders.
6. Motivation among students to become responsible citizens and future leaders.
Feedback received from students, teachers, and school administrators indicated that the summit was highly impactful, educational, and relevant to the needs of the youth.
The Students Empowerment Summit 2026 was a remarkable success and fulfilled its purpose of empowering students with knowledge, skills, and inspiration for their future development. The active participation of students and the positive feedback received affirm the importance of such initiatives in shaping responsible, innovative, and productive young people.
