Hon. Essel Stephen Rewards Top Five BECE Performers at Akyempim MA Basic School:

Hon. Essel Stephen, the member of Youth Model Parliament-YMP for Tarkwa Nsuaem and President of the Akyempim MA Basic School Old Students’ Association, has rewarded five outstanding students who excelled in the recent Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Hon. Essel Stephen, together with his executive members, visited the school to reconnect with the institution and recognize students who performed exceptionally well in the examination.

As part of the visit, the association selected the top five BECE performers and presented them with financial support to assist them in preparing for their transition to Senior High School (SHS).

According to Hon. Essel Stephen, the money presented to each beneficiary is intended to help them purchase essential items, including a mattress and trunk, which are required by many students when reporting to SHS.

“We decided to award five of them, the first five students who performed very well in the BECE. We decided to bring in mattress and trunk to enable them to enter into SHS,” Hon. Essel Stephen explained.

Hon. Essel Stephen described the initiative as the first of its kind by the association and expressed optimism that similar interventions would be undertaken in the future.

We looked forward to many more of such encouraging gestures in the near future
