From Vision to Policy: Inspiring a Generation of Transformational Leaders

The Youth Model Parliament-YMP National Congress 2025 continues to distinguish itself as Ghana’s premier platform where visionary young leaders engage, deliberate, and simulate real governance processes that shape national transformation.
This year’s Congress brings together an inspiring lineup of distinguished speakers whose leadership journeys reflect the Congress theme, “From Vision to Policy.”

Among the keynote guests are:

• Mr. Edward Marfo, Founder and Acting General Secretary of the Youth Empowerment Consortium (YEC), who will deliver an insightful address on “From Vision to Policy: The Vision of YEC in Developing Leaders for National Transformation.”
• Mr. Osman Abdulai Ayariga Esq. The CEO of the National Youth Authority. He will Speak on the Topic; Raising the next generation of policy architects for Ghana's sustainable development -the role of Government and youth leaders.

• Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse, CEO of the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), who will speak on “From Vision to Policy: Equipping Young Leaders to Champion Environmental Sustainability in Ghana.”

• Dr. Lawrence Ofosu-Adjare, Deputy Director of the Catholic Health Service Trust, who will engage delegates on “Building Strategic Networks: How Young Leaders Can Leverage Politics for National Transformation.”

Together, these speakers embody the essence of vision driven leadership which transforms ideas into tangible policy action, collaboration, and impact. Their sessions will empower delegates to understand governance not as a distant institution, but as a living framework through which ideas become policy, and policy becomes progress.

Drawing from their collective experiences across governance, science, law, and health leadership, each speaker will challenge participants to reimagine their role in Ghana’s development to think boldly, act strategically, and lead with integrity.

Final Congress Briefing Held Successfully

On Monday, October 27th, 2025, between 7:20 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., the General Secretary of YEC, Mr. Edward Marfo, held the final virtual briefing session with members of the Youth Model Parliament-YMP and Congress delegates via Zoom.

During the session, he shared essential updates and final details ahead of this week’s YMP National Congress, marking the final step in our preparations.

The Congress Edition of the Youth Digest Series makes its anticipated return as part of the Youth Model Parliament-YMP National Congress 2025.

The Youth Digest Series is a signature thought-leadership platform under the Youth Empowerment Consortium (YEC), dedicated to exploring critical national issues through youth centered dialogue, policy insight, and solution-oriented discussions.

This special Congress Edition brings together delegates, policymakers, educators, and youth leaders to delve into topical issues of national importance.

The early mornings of Friday and Saturday will see this set up as participants walks into conversations that matter.

Theme of Address: “From Vision to Policy: The Vision of YEC in Developing Leaders for National Transformation.”

At the Youth Model Parliament (YMP) National Congress 2025, governance meets transformation as young leaders gather to explore how visionary leadership can be translated into actionable policies for national development.

Among the distinguished speakers at this year’s Congress is Mr. Edward Marfo, the visionary Founder and Acting General Secretary of the Youth Empowerment Consortium (YEC) ; the organization behind the Youth Model Parliament and Youth Model Cabinet programs.

In his anticipated address titled “From Vision to Policy: The Vision of YEC in Developing Leaders for National Transformation,” Mr. Marfo will share the remarkable journey of YEC’s founding vision, its growth into a national youth leadership development platform, and how it continues to shape the next generation of transformative leaders across Ghana.
