On July 13th, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming Les Ateliers de Cergy to iValley Ghana as part of their engagement under the 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France through the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs (MLGCRA).

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase iValley's work in entrepreneurship, innovation, youth empowerment, and local economic development, while exchanging ideas on how innovation ecosystems can contribute to building more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable cities across Northern Ghana.

As cities like Damongo continue to grow, we believe that sustainable urban development must go beyond physical infrastructure. It must create opportunities for young people, strengthen local enterprises, embrace innovation, and build communities that are economically resilient and environmentally sustainable.

𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀

iValley Ghana, in partnership with UNDP Ghana and with funding support from the Embassy of Denmark in Ghana and Royal Norwegian Embassy in Accra, facilitated livelihood skills training in livestock rearing as part of efforts to equip participants with practical skills linked to selected livelihood pathways under the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗼𝗿 (𝗣𝗩𝗘) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁.

The training provided participants with hands-on exposure to poultry production, including farm management practices, poultry housing, bird health, feeding systems, and the daily operations involved in managing a poultry enterprise. This practical learning experience enabled participants to connect the entrepreneurship and business management concepts gained during earlier sessions with real-world production systems.

By combining entrepreneurship knowledge with technical livelihood skills, the project is strengthening participants’ socio-economic resilience and livelihood capacities, equipping them with market-relevant skills to pursue sustainable income opportunities, improve economic inclusion, and contribute to more resilient communities.

𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.

Through the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗼𝗿 (𝗣𝗩𝗘) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, iValley Ghana is equipping at-risk women, youth, and persons with disabilities in Chache, Bole District, Savannah Region, with the knowledge and skills they need to improve their livelihoods and create brighter futures.

As part of the project, participants underwent structured life skills and entrepreneurship training designed to strengthen both personal resilience and economic opportunity. The sessions covered leadership, communication, goal setting, and positive coping strategies, alongside practical business skills such as enterprise selection, bookkeeping, costing and pricing, financial planning, customer relations, and marketing.

Delivered through participatory and hands-on learning approaches tailored to the local context, the training has strengthened the socio-economic resilience and livelihood capacities of beneficiaries, enabling them to build sustainable livelihoods while contributing to more peaceful, resilient, and inclusive communities.

The Preventing & Responding to Violent Extremism in the Atlantic Corridor Project is co-funded by the Embassy of Denmark in Ghana and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Accra in collaboration with UNDP Ghana.

On 15th June, 2026, iValley Ghana participated in the Adwumawura Programme review meeting to assess the outcomes of the first year of implementation, provide key recommendations, and contribute to discussions on the strategic direction for year 2.

The engagement brought together implementing partners, NEIP regional directors, Private sector, academics from the Tertiary Hubs Network of Ghana (THING), VCTF, MASLOC, Association of Ghana Startups, Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs, Ghana Youth Federation, Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment, among others, to reflect on progress made so far, identify lessons learned, and strengthen the programme’s impact going forward.

We remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote sustainable livelihoods, youth empowerment, and enterprise development across Ghana.

iValley Ghana participated in an intensive two-day training programme for innovation hubs in Northern Ghana, organised by the Africa Climate Collaborative at the University of Ghana. The training forms part of a broader effort to equip innovation hubs with the knowledge and tools needed to support young entrepreneurs in Africa's growing green economy.

Through a train-the-trainer approach, hub trainers and facilitators were equipped with specialised entrepreneurship manuals developed by the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Work Stream at the University of Ghana. These resources will enable facilitators to support emerging entrepreneurs in developing climate-smart business models and transforming existing enterprises into more sustainable and resilient ventures.

iValley Ghana, in partnership with UNDP Ghana, has officially launched the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 in Chache, Bole District, Savannah Region, Ghana.

The project commenced with a series of inception and stakeholder meetings with the Bole District Assembly, security agencies including the District Police Command, Immigration and Customs officials, traditional authorities, and other community leaders. These engagements provided an opportunity to introduce the project, align expectations, and strengthen collaboration among key stakeholders whose support is essential to successful implementation.

The project was also introduced to the broader community to raise awareness of its objectives, enhance partner visibility, and encourage community ownership and participation.

Through targeted livelihood interventions, the project aims to strengthen community resilience, promote social cohesion, and contribute to lasting peace by creating economic opportunities for at-risk women, youth, and persons with disabilities.

The initiative is co-funded by the Embassy of Denmark in Ghana and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Accra in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The Government of Ghana, through the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme-NEIP, continues its commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs by supporting 10,000 businesses annually.

The 𝗔𝗱𝘄𝘂𝗺𝗮𝘄𝘂𝗿𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 is designed to equip aspiring and existing entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to build sustainable businesses and create jobs.

iValley Ghana was proud to participate in the 3i Africa Summit 2026, under the theme, “The Next Frontier: Shaping Africa’s Integrated FinTech Future.”

The summit convened policymakers, innovators, investors, regulators, and ecosystem leaders committed to shaping Africa’s digital and financial future through stronger systems, integration, and innovation.

One of the most powerful insights from the summit came from Mrs. Matilda Asante-Asiedu, the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, who stated that, “Capital flows where systems work.” That statement captures the urgency of building trusted institutions, resilient digital infrastructure, and collaborative ecosystems capable of unlocking sustainable investment and inclusive growth across Africa.

The summit also reinforced a growing continental shift, from participation to leadership, and from fragmented ambition to coordinated ex*****on at scale.
