ŋmisi vs kpu

1. Ya se ka*ŋmisi* nzen ya ni neŋgem wara ya ŋuniɛ nbaa n bue, wara niɛ e.g. ayaba ŋmisi, asaa ŋmisi etc.

E.g.
a) ŋmisi u saa nnyɔ n kɛrɛ.
(Wash both hands)
b) ŋmisi taarim ni.
(Wash the utensils)
c)ŋmisi ahin niɛ ni.
(Wash this meat)

2. Ya se ka *kpu* nzen ya ni sutura wurawaam wara kpoori e.g. tanlɛ/sutura kpu.

(Go and wash your things)
b) M la kpoori kpu nyuma.
(I have washing to do today)
c)Kpu ya sutura ni.
(Do have our wears/attire washed)

Post Script: In Anufɔ, the word *wash* can be used to mean kpu or ŋmisi. Take note of when *wash* is not either ŋmisi or kpu. E.g. When it is used to mean to purge yourself, to cleanse yourself, and to bath, we use *biɛ* (wash/bath) or *kpara* (lit 'sweep', purge, purify, pacify).

Ansɛ.
END!
