Children have to be immunized between 0-18 months against diseases.
Professionals in the medical fraternity indicates that vaccines used for these immunization has been out of stock since the middle of 2022.
These vaccines are still out of stock as we celebrate our 66th Independence anniversary.
Some children may have lost on their immunization as we deliberate on this issue as a nation.
It is true some private facilities may have some vaccines but the cost is too high for the average Ghanaian.
How many Ghanaians can afford these vaccines from the private clinics.

What makes the situation more serious is the worsening economic condition that has a high probability of affecting the nutritional statuses of families.

We entreat the government as a matter of urgency to make provision for the availability of these vaccines to save the situation.

Civil societies should also rise up and speak on these issues.

All Hands should be on deck to salvage the situation.

After his inability to honour the invitation by Parliament’s Health Committee, Health Minister Dr Kwaku Agyeman Manu is scheduled to address Parliament on measures being put in place to address the current shortage of vaccines in some parts of the...

Congratulations Mercy.
This is the result of our daily commitment as Compassion International Ghana projects to nurture our children to become responsible adult for the betterment of society.

We can do this.
Yes we can 🙏

“We lived in a squatter’s settlement. Compassion helped us get a nice flat and paid the rent for us for two years!” – Mercy, 24.

Mercy looks back at her childhood with a sense of amazement at how far God has brought her. Things were extremely difficult for the family of four, especially after her father was injured in an accident and left unable to work. Her mother, Comfort, was roasting plantains and maize by the side of the road as their only source of income.

Life greatly improved when Mercy joined the Compassion project. Support with food and rent meant she could finish school and eventually graduate university with a degree in Computer Science. She now works for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ghana.

“[Compassion] has been a pillar to us … we are really grateful,” Mercy says.

Sponsor a child today and give hope more powerful than poverty 💙

Look at these smiles! 😀

But this family hasn’t always had much to smile about. Regularly dealing with acute hunger, life has been hard for Ama and her three children.

The only provider for her family, Ama relied on whatever work she could get that day to put food on the table for her children. As a result, there were days where they didn’t eat. Son Emmanuel says, “When my mother couldn’t find food for us, we would sleep on empty stomachs. The hope that we would find something to eat the next day sustained us.” But life was extremely difficult for the family.

The turning point came when Emmanuel was registered in the local Compassion programme. Ama suddenly had a reason to smile. “I never enjoyed life before Compassion came into our lives … [they] kept me and my children alive. Without Compassion, my children and I would be history,” says Ama.

Food packs and financial support to set up a small business making and selling Lina (a local drink made of corn and sugar,) has changed their situation. Their happiness and gratitude to God is overwhelming. We are the church, and we choose love 💙

With the vision of empowering youth and having a clean environment, this week has been dedicated by Walker Sister to clean the community of Breman Kokoso of plastic. These plastics are a major component that will be used in the building of the Eco-Friendly Brick Benches.

Whiles we seek to clean our community through clean up campaign, there was the need to sensitize the people who consciosly or unconscious generate these volumes of waste which becomes harmful to the soil, atmosphere and waterbeds.

Our education started on Sunday August 23, 2020 where the President and founder of Walker Sisters through the Community Information Center educated the people for Breman Kokoso on the dangers of plastic waster
