Meta Foundation trained 30 Fulani women in Sapeliga, Tarikom, and Widnaba on Degue production, focusing on hygienic processing, food safety, and proper handling.
Participants were also provided with packaging materials to improve product quality and market access.

Communities in the North East are uniting to tackle school dropout and protect every child.

Meta Foundation organized a stakeholder engagement where community leaders, parents, teachers, youth groups, and local officials came together to address the challenge. They spoke openly about the real reasons children leave school, including poverty, early marriage, insecurity, and lack of learning materials, and agreed on practical steps to bring them back to the classroom and ensure their safety.

Thanks to STAR-Ghana Foundation for making this engagement under the AVID II Project possible. When a community stands together for its children, meaningful change becomes achievable. Every child deserves a chance. Together, we can make it happen.

When young people are equipped with the right skills and tools, they don’t just earn a living, they transform their communities.

Through our partnership with UNDP Ghana , Meta Foundation has trained nine youth in Tarikom in mobile phone repairs and supported them with start-up toolkits to begin their own businesses.

Meta Foundation, with support from UNICEF, has commenced the “Reinforcing Engagement and Action for Community Health in Ghana (REACH-GHANA)” project with stakeholder engagement meetings in Tamale Metropolitan, Kumbungu, and Savelugu.

The project seeks to strengthen adolescent health and well-being through increased awareness and uptake of the HPV vaccine, promotion of menstrual hygiene management, and improved reproductive health education.

This marks the beginning of a series of activities aimed at empowering communities to take action for better adolescent health across northern Ghana.
