📢 MEDICAL SUPPORT UPDATE 3

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of many anonymous donors, the total amount raised so far is now GHS 5,800. We are deeply grateful for every contribution and every share. ❤️

Due to the current insecurity situation in Bawku, we have been advised to wait for the next available military es**rt, which may take place within the next 2 to 3 weeks, before moving the children to Bolgatanga for medical care.

We sincerely appreciate the guidance and support from UER DOVVSU, the Department of Gender, and other NGOs in Bawku who have been assisting with security advice throughout this process.

In the meantime, GHS 500 has been sent to the mother to help provide basic needs for the children while arrangements are being made.

Thank you all for standing with these children during this difficult time. Your support is bringing hope where fear tried to settle. 🤍

This brings the current total donations received to Gh₵5,000.

Every contribution is helping us move closer to getting urgent medical care and support for the two young survivors. Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared the appeal, called, prayed, and stood with us during this difficult time.

UPDATES

We sincerely acknowledge receipt of GHC 4,000 in cash support towards seeking urgent medical care for the 4 and 7-year-old survivors of defilement.

To everyone who has contributed through the Telecel account, kindly note that all donations will be duly acknowledged in due course. We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming compassion and support shown so far.

Currently, arrangements are being made to secure police or army es**rt services to transport the children and their mother to Bolgatanga to see a specialist for the urgent medical attention they need.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to all those who drew the attention of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection to this case, reminding them of the earlier petition that was submitted to their office.

We remain hopeful that the Ministry will take a leading role in providing holistic support to this widow and her daughters during this difficult time.

Thank you all for standing with these children. We will continue to keep the public updated as progress is made.

Two young sisters in Bawku Municipality are in urgent need of medical care after surviving sexual abuse.

While the legal process slowly takes its course, their health cannot wait.

They require specialized treatment from a gynecologist, but due to insecurity in the area and lack of specialists, they must travel to Bolgatanga for care.

They will need at least three visits, covering:
• Transportation
• Accommodation
• Feeding
• Hospital bills

We are aiming to raise GHS 10,000 to support their treatment and ensure they receive the care they urgently need.

Every contribution, big or small, brings them closer to healing.

Yesterday marked an exciting start to our community cooking sessions under the Indigenous Nutrition and Agroecology initiative at Sakote community

Women smallholder farmers came together to prepare a variety of nutritious meals using locally grown, indigenous ingredients such as millet, legumes, and fresh leafy vegetables. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with learning, sharing, and cultural pride.

Participants demonstrated traditional cooking methods while also discussing ways to retain nutrients, improve hygiene, and prepare balanced meals for their families. It was inspiring to see knowledge being exchanged, not just on cooking, but also on the importance of healthy diets and the value of our indigenous foods.

Beyond the meals, the session created a space for connection, storytelling, and empowerment. Women shared experiences, supported one another, and took pride in the rich food heritage within their communities.

We look forward to continuing these sessions and strengthening the link between agroecological farming and nutritious household diets. Thanks to The 11th Hour Project

🌱 🌱

We are proud to celebrate the incredible efforts of our Sakote women’s group, who have successfully established this beautiful vegetable garden using purely organic and agroecological practices. From land preparation to planting, their dedication, teamwork, and commitment to sustainable farming are truly inspiring.

As we look forward to the upcoming harvest, this initiative will not only improve household nutrition but also increase income for the women and their families. This garden stands as a powerful reminder that agroecology is the way to go; it promotes healthy food, protects our environment, and strengthens livelihoods.

👏 We commend these hardworking women and encourage more communities to embrace agroecology for a healthier and more sustainable future.
