Time with the Widows" — Third Edition

JUABOSO NKWANTA, WESTERN NORTH REGION
On May 17, 2026, the Western North Development Association (WENDA), through its flagship Time with Widows initiative, extended a charitable hand to widows in Juaboso Nkwanta, located in the Juaboso District. The event was organized as part of the Association's ongoing efforts to honor and show appreciation to mothers following the recently celebrated Mother’s Day.
This annual initiative is central to WENDA's mission to support vulnerable groups and bring joy to the region's cherished widows.
Messages of Hope and Solidarity
In her keynote address, the Women’s Commissioner for WENDA, Emmanuella Frema Aidoo, highlighted that this year’s event marks another successful edition of an established yearly tradition. She offered warm words of encouragement to the widows and elderly women in attendance, reassuring them of the Association's unwavering support.
She further expressed optimism that subsequent editions would mobilize even greater resources to expand the project's reach to more widows and underprivileged individuals across the Western North Region.
The Vice President of WENDA, Joyce Kwarteng, also addressed the gathering, sharing uplifting words of encouragement and reinforcing the Association's commitment to community welfare.
The Donation
To support the livelihoods of the beneficiaries, the Association donated a variety of essential food items, including:
Bags of rice
Cartons of mackerel
Cooking oil
Dignitaries in Attendance
The event was graced by several notable local representatives and executives, including:

2. David Adzido – Unit Committee Chairman for the Electoral Area
