Our forests fed our grandparents, built our cocoa economy, and cool the air we breathe. The Kakum canopy, Atewa hills, Bia forests — these are Ghana's lungs. But at our current rate of deforestation, illegal logging and galamsey, they could be gone within 25 years.

Today we make a real commitment: farmers, protect your trees. Citizens, report galamsey. Leaders, enforce the law. Young people, plant a tree — actually plant one.
The forest gave everything to us. Give something back.

action often involves decisions made at both local and national levels. This dialogue will explore which level of governance is better positioned to drive meaningful environmental change and why.

Our sessions go beyond learning, they are highly interactive. Active participation will be observed and recognized, so come prepared with your ideas, questions, and perspectives for a meaningful discussion.

Today, March 3rd, we honour the incredible natural wealth that makes our nation extraordinary.
Today, let us recommit to this heritage — for our children, our communities, and our country.

Protect our underwater meadows!
Seagrass supports marine life, fights climate change, and safeguards coastlines.
Take a few minutes to learn about these unsung heroes.

Our leaders are speaking for the whole continent at global talks like COP to fight for fair deals, better future, and justice on climate. This is huge pride for Accra and Ghana! Let's support this strong voice.

– Phase 2 Update

As part of our planned activities for Phase 2 of the Life in a Changing Climate Project, we engaged with participating farmers to share the vision and structure of this next phase.

During the session, we explained that Phase 2 will focus more on demonstration fields and hands-on, field-based learning, where farmers can observe, practice, and learn directly from real farming activities.

We also took the opportunity to introduce farmers to the jab planter and trained them on how to use it effectively. This simple but powerful tool makes planting easier, faster, and more efficient, helping to reduce physical strain and improve productivity.

This engagement helped the farmers to gain practical skills and a clearer understanding of what to expect in this new phase.
