𝗜𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲... 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝘆?

Clean air.
Rainfall.
Food systems.
Livelihoods.
Climate regulation.

All delivered quietly. Daily. No receipts. No reminders.

Yet, these same forests support economies in ways we often overlook. Especially for communities whose survival and income depend directly on them.

The truth is, forests have always been part of our economy.
We just haven’t treated them that way.

This 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the theme “𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗲𝘀” is not just a concept. It’s a reality we live in, whether we acknowledge it or not.

Maybe it’s time we start giving back; intentionally, not occasionally.

Because losing forests is not just an environmental issue.
It’s an economic one too.

Today, we celebrate one of nature’s most unique mammals, the pangolin.

They help control pests like ants and termites, supporting healthy ecosystems.

Despite their importance, all pangolin species are threatened, and urgent conservation action is needed.

At Greenstoration Ghana, we are committed to protecting pangolins and their habitats.

You can help too: raise awareness, report illegal wildlife activity, and support conservation initiatives.

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄?

The pangolin is the only mammal in the world covered from head to clawed toe in 𝗸𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀; a natural armor like no other!

These incredible creatures are nature’s pest controllers, yet all eight species of pangolins are 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 including the ones in Ghana, largely due to wildlife trafficking.

As we approach 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 tomorrow, let’s pause to appreciate these fascinating mammals and think about how we can protect them.
