On Saturday, 28th February, we hosted the Lead Against Silence Conference at the University of Education, Ajumako Campus, as part of activities under the Lead Against Silence Project.

Students were equipped with practical knowledge on sexual violence, how to identify warning signs, available referral pathways, and the critical role they play in supporting survivors.

Together, we reaffirmed a powerful truth: Silence is not an option.

Through the Lead Against Silence project, DWoSO, with support from AWDF, organized a two-day retreat for survivors. In a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space, participants engaged in storytelling and creative expression, rebuilding confidence, reclaiming their voices, and strengthening their sense of self-worth.

No one is defined by what happened to them. Strength is found in resilience. Courage grows in community. And healing begins with care.
