THE 1981 YEAR GROUP ORGANIZES MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAMME
The 1981 Year Group of ZICO in the UK, in partnership with the Besstel Foundation, will organize a Mental Health Awareness Programme for students and staff on 29th October, 2026.
The Leader of the team, Madam Hilda Amewu, noted that, "Mental health is about our emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing. It affects how we think, feel, and behave, as well as how we handle stress, relate to others, and make decisions."
She said good mental health enabled individuals to function effectively, build healthy relationships, and contribute meaningfully to society.
Madam Amewu, who is also a member of the Health Committee of the Zion College Old Students Association, explained that the programme would strengthen support systems, ensure early intervention, and promote sustained wellbeing. "This will ultimately boost students' confidence and academic outcomes," she added.
