Then came one of the sweetest moments of the morning.

Notes filled with kind words, affirmations, and genuine love were shared around — each one paired with a little toffee, but carrying something far more powerful than sugar.

One by one, we read them out loud.
Encouraging words. Gentle reminders. Heartfelt affirmations.

It was assuring. It was soothing. It was love expressed in the simplest but most meaningful way.

Sometimes, all someone needs is to hear, “You matter.”
And today, we made sure everyone felt it.

Through the word shared by Rev. Simon Ampofo, we were reminded that love without wisdom can be costly.

Using the story of Tamar, we saw how ignoring warning signs and lacking discernment can lead to painful consequences. Intelligence alone is not enough — we must be wise, spiritually alert, and discerning. Not everyone who sounds convincing has good intentions.

We were also challenged with the reality that faithfulness is rare (Proverbs 20:6). Many proclaim loyalty, but few truly live it. The life of Amnon showed us how uncontrolled desire and unfaithfulness can destroy purpose and lead to a tragic end.

The charge was clear:
Be wise. Be discerning. Do not allow anyone to take advantage of you. Real love is not manipulation, pressure, or deception — it is grounded in truth and integrity.

Love must be more than emotions. It must carry wisdom.

More Than a Crush | Sermon Highlights

Today’s word from Rev. Simon Ampofo reminded us that not everything that feels good is worth pursuing. A crush may look exciting at first, but without wisdom, it can lead to a crash. We were challenged to move beyond emotional impulses and learn to walk in love, not just fall into feelings.

We were cautioned about the company we keep, the things we expose our eyes to, and the environments we place ourselves in. Small compromises, unchecked influences, and pretending instead of living truthfully can quietly derail our walk with God.

The call was clear: think long-term. Choose delayed gratification over short-term pleasure. Live intentionally, wisely, and in a way that honors God — because real love requires discipline, discernment, and depth.

God’s love is more than a crush — it’s a way of life.

With songs, praises, worship, dancing, and pure joy, we created space for God to move among us. The room came alive with gratitude, reverence, and unity as we celebrated who God is and all He’s doing in this season.

What a beautiful way to begin the month — grounded, refreshed, and aligned.
