Sources: The Rehabilitation of the Avoeme Park is set to begin on Wednesday February 18, 2026.

The project is being undertaken by Felix Akonta Akakpo - Torgbui Tenuvi II who intends to reclaim a large portion of the lagoon land by filling the area to the level of the road with estimated eight hundred (800) trips (trucks) of sand.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE AREA...
After the filling, the second phase of the project will see the development of a Football Park, a Volleyball Court, a Basketball Court, a Handball Court, Dressing Rooms, Toilet Facilities, Borehole Water System, a Fence Wall, Car Park and access road through the lagoon to the community at the other side of the lagoon.

Phase three may possibly come with a new Basic School to complement the overpopulated Avoeme Basic School.

First and second phase of work expected to last for six (6) months.
