Community Vulnerable Children Organization (CVCO) is a Youth-Led, Community-Based, Non-Profit Organization Promoting Health, Rural Education, and Women and Girls Empowerment. Community Vulnerable Children Organization (CVCO) is a community-based organization qualified under the Companies Act, 1963(Act 179) of Ghana’s Regulations of a Business Limited by Guarantee and based in Mafi- Adidome (Kpoged
e); a non-profit organization that collaborates with other agencies to improve the lives of children in terms of health, education and development. Vision:
A community in which every child has the inherent right to survival, protection, education, treatment, and development and is entitled to decent health status. Mission:
To improve the health and the general well-being of people especially the vulnerable children in society. Our aims and objectives are;
CVCO is working towards achieving the following objectives for the benefit of its target group the poor, socially and economically vulnerable children, and the youth.
1. To protect the health and human rights of people living with or affected by HIV and Tuberculosis.
2. To establish CVCO club in schools, in order to promote HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis Prevention Education and Adolescent Health Reproductive programs.
3. To reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis through screening, testing and counseling of children and guardians and referring of positive cases for management.
4. To reduce HIV and Tuberculosis-related stigmatization and discrimination among the general public through intensive health education via community outreaches, and radio broadcasting.
5. To help reduce the widespread illiteracy in the communities and promote child education and community development programs.
6. To assist women, teenage school dropouts, and street children, (neglected/vulnerable children) in the region to acquire skills to enable them to set up small a business to earn income.
7. To reduce the rate of the digital divide that exists in rural communities by promoting digital literacy among rural girls in Ghana.
8. To register vulnerable children and their guardians under the National Health Insurance Scheme in other for them to access health care services. OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:
