It's unfortunate but it is for good.

💔 Our hearts are broken.

💔 With heavy hearts, we are deeply saddened to announce that our girls could not make it to Mexico for the 2026 Street Child World Cup.

Just 5 hours before departure, our Emirates flight was suddenly cancelled. The tickets we had purchased for nearly $2,500 per person jumped to almost $4,500, leaving us in an impossible situation. We explored every possible option, searching tirelessly for alternative flights, but we faced challenges with unavailable seats, transit visa requirements, and extremely high ticket costs.

Over the past days, we have been quiet because we were fighting from every angle to find a solution. Unfortunately, despite all efforts, time was not on our side.

Our girls are heartbroken. Many of them have broken down emotionally after dreaming, preparing, and working so hard for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Right now, we are focusing on getting counseling and emotional support for them during this difficult moment.

We are incredibly grateful to Street Child United for their willingness to support us and even offer to purchase tickets at any cost. Sadly, the challenge was not only the money, but also the very limited time and travel restrictions we faced.

To everyone who supported, prayed, donated, encouraged, and stood with us on this journey — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Please continue to keep our girls in your prayers. This is painful, but we believe this is not the end of their story. 🇬🇭❤️

We are excited to announce that our Skills Training Program with Linda is officially underway.

Young people from across Ada are actively participating in this hands-on training, learning practical décor and event setup skills that can open doors to creativity, entrepreneurship, and income opportunities.

This initiative forms part of our commitment to empower youth with relevant, real-life skills that go beyond the classroom.

We encourage all participants to stay committed, be creative, and make the most of this opportunity. Together, we are building skills, confidence, and brighter futures.

At Yayotse, we often say that community buy-in stimulates our impact, and moments like this bring that truth to life.

During a recent visit to Korpehem D/A Basic School in Ada, our volunteer received an incredibly warm and inspiring welcome. In front of the pupils, the headteacher Kwame Lincoln Lincoln Photography didn’t just introduce him - he connected, engaged, and “vibed” with him in a way that reflected genuine excitement and trust.

It was more than a welcome. It was a powerful statement.

A statement that the school community believes in what we do. A statement that our presence is valued. A statement that together, we can shape better opportunities for young people.

This kind of openness gives us easy access to schools and young people, allowing us to deliver impactful programs in safe and supportive environments.

At Yayotse, we don’t work for the community; we work with the community.

Today, spent time visiting some of our program participants at their schools.

The visit was a wonderful opportunity to see the young people in their learning environment and to encourage them in their academic journey. Cyprien interacted with the students, shared friendly conversations, and experienced firsthand how education and sports together shape the growth of our participants.

Moments like these strengthen the bond between our volunteers and the young people we serve, reminding us that learning happens both on the field and in the classroom.

We are happy to see Cyprien continuing to connect with the community and supporting the development of our participants.

Today, led some of our program participants for an energizing 8km run session. What began as a simple training run quickly turned into a moment of connection, teamwork, and shared motivation.

Running side by side through the community, Cyprien and the young participants encouraged one another, exchanged smiles, and enjoyed the spirit of sport that brings people together beyond language and borders.

For our participants, it was not just about covering the distance - it was about discipline, friendship, and learning from someone who travelled far to share in their journey. For , it was another meaningful step in understanding the strength, resilience, and enthusiasm of the young people in our program.

At Yayotse, we believe sport creates bridges between cultures and inspires young people to dream bigger.
