On Wednesday 13 August 2025, Kasa initiative Ghana together with GreenFaith Ghana carried out a capacity strengthening and awareness creation workshop on energy transition in Cape coast, Central Region of . The engagement that had participation from Civil society organisations operating in the environment governance area, media personnel and faith-based leaders sought a broad-based approach in including rural communities in the national energy transition agenda.
Guided by the Ghana energy transition framework, the conveners who are part of a consortium tasked with ensuring a just and inclusive transition, are working with representation from Ministry of Energy to harmonize government plans and non-state recommendations to the process.
Facilitated by Dr. Sogbadji, Deputy Director, Power (Nuclear and Alternative Energy). Ministry of Energy of Ghana, the session involved presentation as well as knowledge sharing among participants.
