Future of Africa FOA invests in the well-being, education and future livelihoods of children in street situations. Vision | African Youth Collaborating for Transformative Change

Future of Africa’s mission is to mentor African youth, cultivating hope, build strong character, and developing valuable assets to transform their lives. We focus on supporting vulnerable youth, specifically street children by firstly providing immediate relief through sharing of meals and access to emergency medical assistance. Beyond this we equip street children and youth with practical, employ

able skills for long-term transformation. FOA uses a unique approach of engaging high school and university students, empowering them to become compassionate, influential change-makers through hands-on outreach and transformative leadership training. Our programs teach essential life skills grounded in core values, aiming to build positive, resilient character amongst the youth.

Introducing Norviwo Clothing! A creative incubator where youth build both technical and business skills in the fashion and apparel industry.

Through FOA’s collaboration with Standard Chartered Ghana young girls will gain practical skills in dressmaking creating a path towards employment

From designing and sewing to branding and bulk orders, our youth gain real exposure to how clothing businesses operate while producing items that can be sold to sustain the program.

Students of Ejisuman Senior High School shared their reflections after watching our documentary on the harsh realities faced by young girls and boys living on the streets.

Through Future of Africa’s Hometowns of Hope project, in partnership with Digital Opportunity Trust and Mastercard Foundation , we have reached more than 4,500 in-school and out-of-school youth across the Ejisu and Awutu Senya districts. Together, we are helping young people understand the risks of migrating to Accra in search of economic opportunities, while inspiring them to build their futures by developing skills, pursuing entrepreneurship, and taking advantage of the opportunities that already exist within their own communities.

Highlights from our Hometowns of Hope project

Over the last week, we visited 3 schools in the Ejisu District to educate young girls and boys about the dangers of migrating to the cities and living on the street.

In collaboration with , FOA has educated over 2000 youth in rural communities in Ejisu and Awutu Senya about the harsh realities of living on the street in Accra. Through a series of documentary screenings the youth have changed their perception about migrating to Accra to hustle.
