Future of Africa

Future of Africa FOA invests in the well-being, education and future livelihoods of children in street situations. Vision | African Youth Collaborating for Transformative Change

Future of Africa’s mission is to mentor African youth, cultivating hope, build strong character, and developing valuable assets to transform their lives. We focus on supporting vulnerable youth, specifically street children by firstly providing immediate relief through sharing of meals and access to emergency medical assistance. Beyond this we equip street children and youth with practical, employ

able skills for long-term transformation. FOA uses a unique approach of engaging high school and university students, empowering them to become compassionate, influential change-makers through hands-on outreach and transformative leadership training. Our programs teach essential life skills grounded in core values, aiming to build positive, resilient character amongst the youth.

After a heavy downpour in Accra last night, many street youth were left vulnerable unable to find a place to sleep and rest.

Today 30 young boys living on the street found refuge at the Norviwo Community Centre. They were treated to hot meals and they played games with volunteers, watched movies, slept and finally relaxed.

⏳10 days to go to our annual Street Resident Listening Conference!!

Last year, former street youth and those still on the streets shared their real experiences, showing just how tough life on the street can be.

They were open and even happy to share their stories, knowing they were finally being heard. Their voices helped government and community leaders better understand the problem, and reminded us why their stories matter!
