WEP Ghana, together with partners, participated in the Multi-Faith Dialogue on Climate Change and Social Protection Systems Nexus in Ghana, convened by under the theme: Advancing Just Energy Transition through Faith-Led, Gender-Responsive Social Protection.

The dialogue brought together faith leaders, traditional authorities, government institutions, civil society organizations, and community representatives to explore how climate-responsive social protection systems can support vulnerable communities as Ghana advances its energy transition agenda.

One message stood out clearly: a Just Energy Transition must put people at the center. Women, youth, farmers, fisherfolk, and frontline communities must not only be protected from climate impacts but actively included in shaping sustainable solutions.

As climate change continues to affect livelihoods, food systems, energy access, and community resilience, stronger collaboration across sectors is essential to ensure that no one is left behind.
