Proud Moment for Ho Dome R.C JHS!

Our partner school, Ho Dome R.C Junior High School, participated in the
Thrive Africa Vegan Restaurant Week, the world’s first and only pan-African vegan campaign celebrating Africa’s rich plant-based culinary heritage.

Under the guidance of their dedicated teachers, the students prepared vegan rice with local beans sauce, learning food hygiene, teamwork, plant-based meal preparation, creativity in cooking, cultural appreciation.

This hands-on experience is not only boosting their confidence and practical knowledge but also empowering them to adopt healthy, sustainable, and climate-friendly food choices.

We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm and commitment to learning.

We are proud to share that our partner school, Vane E.P. Junior High School, has been awarded Regional Best JHS in Practical Agriculture at the 41st National Farmers’ Day Celebration held at Hodzoga in the Volta Region, Ghana.
Their dedication to hands-on learning and excellence in agriculture has earned them impressive prizes, including a motorcycle, farm equipment, and agricultural inputs to support their continued work.

We had the privilege of meeting Dr Kofi Boamah Otokunor, Presidential Advisor on Agriculture and Agribusiness at the Office of the President.

The meeting introduced our work to Dr Kofi Boamah Otokunor and explored opportunities for collaboration with the Government of Ghana toward establishing a national School Farms Initiative across basic, senior high, and selected colleges of education.

We also presented our School Farms Impact Report (http://bit.ly/4hCGFBi) and, in return, received the government’s technical proposal on the proposed initiative. The discussion was highly productive, and we have been invited to formally express our interest in partnering with the Office of the President.

This milestone marks a major step in advancing our mission to transform education through climate-smart agriculture, nutrition, and skills development.
