Food For All Africa

Food For All Africa More than 80% of the food recovered is nutritious food. Our Vision
A Ghana without hunger. Overcoming the great hunger issue in Ghana.
2. Professionalism.

We operate West Africa’s first and largest circular food bank in Ghana 🇬🇭, recovering surplus food to feed communities and converting inedible waste into insect protein and organic fertilizer for smallholder farmers 🪰🌱 Food for All was founded in 2015 by Chef Elijah Addo to address the widespread hunger and food waste challenges in Ghana; Food for All connects a world of excess to a world of need

by recovering quality edible surplus food from the consumer goods supply chain and distributing it to community organizations that serve the poor. Our aim is to serve Ghana and help those in need by specializing in anti-food waste and hunger reduction under the official name of Food for All Africa. Food for All Africa is registered at the Registrar-General’s Department, Ministry of Justice under Registration Number CG000342016 and Department of Social Development registration number 6951. We Are
A non-profit organization specialized in fighting hunger and food waste through technology, diversity and innovation. We create effective programs addressing hunger issues by creating partnerships with those who care about the underprivileged and hungry people in Ghana and sub Saharan Africa. Our Mission
To reduce hunger in Ghana by creating efficient and sustainable means of nutrition through food banking, diversity of long term social development, awareness, educational and feeding programs. In co-operation with credible, potential partners in all sectors (Individuals, official, volunteers, civil and private sectors)

Our Value
1. Specialization in providing the basic need for every human being: “FOOD”.
3. Continuity of giving to the needy.
4. WHY FOOD WASTE & HUNGER REDUCTION
Each year about 1.3 billion tons of food is wasted and at the same time about 800 million people do not have access to sufficient and nutritious food (Global FoodBanking Network, 2014). This figure represents roughly one third of food produced for human consumption. Food can be either lost or wasted throughout the supply chain, from initial agricultural production down to final household consumption (FAO, 2011).
9.3 Million Ghanaians with 45% in Accra can’t afford more than $0.81 on food daily. The Cost of Hunger report by the National Development Planning Commission in 2016 estimates that Ghana loses GH¢ 4.6 billion which is equivalent to 6.4% GDP at time when 45% of food goes waste along the food supply chain and 24% of all child mortality cases in Ghana are associated with under nutrition.

What's the real result of a successful food loss recovery?

It's the moment fresh, nutritious food from a farm becomes a healthy meal. This isn't just about calories; it's about dignified access to fresh produce.
When you partner with Food For All Africa to manage surplus from commercial and smallholder farms, you directly contribute to improved nutrition for families across Ghana.

Let's make fresh food, not waste, the norm.

🎒 1 Mission. 20,000 LunchBoxes.

Can you fill a mind when the stomach is empty?

For thousands of students in schools overlooked by government feeding programs, the Food For All Africa LunchBox School Feeding Initiative has been a vital safety net since 2016.

By providing consistent, daily nutrition, we have directly boosted classroom focus, increased school enrollment, and reduced dropout rates.
Over 30,000 school children across Ghana have benefited since our launch, with 7,000 students currently relying on us every single school day.

But to reach the thousands of children still waiting, we must scale.

🚀 Introducing the LunchBox Central Kitchen Project

We are transitioning from decentralized meal prep to a high-capacity, centralized kitchen hub. This strategic milestone will allow us to:

Massively scale daily production under strict hygienic standards.

Optimize supply chains to significantly lower the cost per meal.
*Integrate sustainable, circular food waste solutions directly into our operations.

🤝 Partner with Us: A High-Impact CSR Opportunity

We are actively inviting corporate partners, institutional donors, and logistics innovators to join us in making the Central Kitchen a reality.

Whether through capital funding for commercial cooking equipment, cold-chain logistics support, or raw ingredient supply chains, your organization can directly power a sustainable solution to childhood hunger and educational inequality.

Let’s build a future where no child has to choose between hunger and an education.

🌍🌿 World Environment Day 2026

This year, World Environment Day is being commemorated under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.” and the call to action resonates deeply with our work at Food For All Africa and Food4All Africa UK Centre for Sustainable Nutrition & Innovation.

Every day, we collaborate with stakeholders across Ghana’s food supply chain to prevent edible and inedible food from ending up in landfills. From smallholder farmers and food processors to wholesalers, retailers, hospitality businesses, and consumers, we work together to reduce food loss and waste at every stage of the chain.

When food is discarded and sent to landfills, it decomposes and releases methane—a greenhouse gas significantly more potent than carbon dioxide in trapping heat in the atmosphere. By rescuing surplus edible food for vulnerable communities and finding sustainable solutions for inedible food, we help reduce emissions, protect natural resources, and contribute to climate action.

The phrase “Inspired by Nature” reminds us of our responsibility to protect and conserve the ecosystems that sustain life today and for future generations. Through food recovery, waste reduction, and partnerships that promote circular food systems, we are demonstrating that environmental protection and food security can go hand in hand.

As we mark World Environment Day 2026, and embrace the call for climate action, we invite everyone to be part of the solution. Together, we can build a future where less food is wasted, more people are nourished, and our planet is healthier for generations to come.

🌱 **Save Food. Feed People. Protect the Planet.**

🌍 World Hunger Day 2026 🍲
1 Mission. 20,000 LunchBoxes.

At Food For All Africa , we believe that no child should have to learn on an empty stomach. Yet today, more than 3.4 million school children in Ghana still lack access to school feeding programs, while many schools operate without safe and hygienic kitchens.

Through our LunchBox School Feeding Initiative, we are tackling hunger with sustainable solutions that:
✅ Provide nutritious meals to vulnerable school children
♻️ Reduce food waste by recovering and redistributing surplus food
👩🏾‍🍳 Create employment opportunities for women and local communities
📚 Keep children in school by improving attendance, concentration, and learning outcomes
🌱 Support local farmers and strengthen food systems

To expand this impact, we are launching the LunchBox Central Kitchen Project — an ultramodern urban school feeding kitchen in Accra designed to prepare, package, and distribute safe, nutritious meals at scale.

🎯 Our goal:
🍛 Produce up to 10,000 meals daily in the first year
👧🏾 Reach 20,000 children every day by Year 3
🏫 Support schools across Greater Accra, Eastern, Central and other regions of Ghana
💼 Create jobs and economic opportunities across the food value chain

This is more than a kitchen — it is a lifeline for vulnerable children and a bold step toward ending classroom hunger in Ghana.

This World Hunger Day, we invite corporate partners, philanthropists, organizations, and individuals to support the 1 Mission. 20,000 LunchBoxes Campaign and help us build a future where every child has access to nutritious meals and quality education.

❤️ Donate. Partner. Share.

Together, we can reduce hunger, cut food waste, create jobs, and ensure no child is left behind.

🍱 Feeding Education. Empowering Women. Building the Future.

Through Food For All Africa’s LunchBox School Feeding Initiative , we are addressing two critical challenges at once:

✅ Providing nutritious daily meals to children in schools without access to government feeding programs
✅ Creating sustainable employment opportunities for local mothers as caterers

Our model is simple—but powerful. When children are nourished, they learn better. When mothers are empowered, families thrive.

Now, we are scaling this impact through the establishment of our Central School Kitchen—a strategic investment that will allow us to reach more schools, improve efficiency, and expand economic opportunities for women across Ghana.

🤝 We invite partners, organizations, and individuals to join us in this mission. Together, we can ensure that no child is left behind due to hunger.
