Dear WeCare Family,

We are thrilled to share the success of our recent event under the Mandate of God. Yesterday, WeCare Earth, in collaboration with the organizers of the 40 under 40 Awards, Xo-Dus Communications, and other esteemed associates, took a significant step forward in our mission to foster a culture of environmental stewardship in Ghana and beyond.

The event was a part of our ongoing efforts to lead a national consciousness around tree planting, working alongside some of Ghana’s most dynamic young CEOs. This initiative not only aims to embed sustainable practices into our communities but also marks the beginning of a broader movement that we intend to expand across the African continent.

The program kicked off early in the morning, with participants arriving between 8:00 and 8:30 AM. After a brief opening prayer, we were honored with welcome messages from Mr. Richard Abbey Jnr (CEO Xo-Dus Communications), Dr. Daniel Opoku-Mensah (Executive Director/Chairman, WeCARE Earth), and the Hon. Boye Laryea (Municipal Chief Executive of Okaikwei). These leaders set the tone for the day, emphasizing the importance of our collective efforts in combating environmental degradation.

At the heart of the event was the tree planting ceremony, where volunteers, organized into groups, diligently planted trees across designated areas. The Municipal Chief Executive had the privilege of planting the first tree, symbolizing the start of this vital initiative.

The event received extensive media coverage, with representatives from Daily Graphic, UTV, Citi FM, Joy FM, and Ghana Web documenting and publicizing our efforts. This is part of our ongoing initiative to mobilize various aspects of the community—from churches and mosques to NGOs, civil organizations, and government agencies. The involvement of corporate entities in this initiative highlights the comprehensive nature of our mission to foster environmental responsibility, ensuring that our message reaches a wide audience and inspires others to join our cause.

We are grateful to everyone who participated in making this event a success. As we continue to lead this charge, both in Ghana and across the African continent, we remain committed to our mission of nurturing a culture of sustainability and stewardship.

Together, we are making a lasting impact—one tree at a time.

🌳 Dear WeCARE Family,

We are excited to share the successful completion of our "DOUBLE DO"events that took place on 22ND of June 2024. Here’s a recap of the impactful day we had:

1. Pokuase Library Planting Exercise:
WeCARE in collaboration with Women for Sustainability Africa participated in a tree planting exercise at Pokuase Library and some community schools in Pokuase, Accra. Our team provided umbrella tree seedlings, other shade trees, and technical support. The event, starting promptly at 7:00 AM, was a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the community and promote environmental sustainability through the addition of new green spaces.

2. OLA Catholic Church, New Achimota:
The second event took place at OLA Catholic Church, New Achimota. Starting at 8:30 AM, we planted shade and ornamental trees at the school and church compounds. We were proud to support the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the OLA Parish in this green initiative, making a significant impact on their environment.

On Sunday, WeCARE was honored to speak on the environment during the Sunday service at OLA Catholic Church. This 5-minute opportunity allowed us to raise awareness about environmental issues, share tree seedlings to parishioners and inspire the congregation to take action in their own lives.

These events were a great success, thanks to the hard work and dedication of all our members and volunteers. Your commitment and enthusiasm are truly inspiring and vital to our mission.

📸 Check out some moments from the events below!

Let’s continue to work together to make a positive impact on our environment and community. Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to get involved.

Thank you for your continued support. 🌱💚

🌳Dear WeCARE Family,

We are delighted to share the highlights of our recent collaboration with the Jubilee 2025 Catholic Church and the Conference of Major Superiors of Religious - Ghana (CMSR-GH) for the Candle-Light Procession on June 15th, 2024.

Event Highlights:

1. Planting Ornamental Plants:
Our dedicated team gathered at St. Joseph School, Adabraka, to plant beautiful ornamental plants. This initiative was a significant step in enhancing the church’s environment and promoting green spaces within the community.

2. Candle-Light Procession:
In support of protecting the environment, WeCARE participated in the Jubilee 2025 Candle-Light Procession, organized by the Religious of the Accra Archdiocese. The procession, themed "Send forth your Spirit and Renew the face of the earth" (Psalm 104:30), started from St. Joseph School, Adabraka, and made its way to the Holy Spirit Cathedral. This moving display of unity and faith highlighted our commitment to environmental stewardship and brought together various community members in a shared mission.

3. Seedling Distribution:
Along the procession route, WeCARE members shared seedlings with the community, encouraging everyone to join us in our mission to protect and nurture our environment.

This collaboration was a great success, thanks to the support and cooperation of Br. Augustine, representing Fr. Ennin, and Madam Belinda Bulley, Head Teacher of St. Joseph School. Their dedication and collaboration were instrumental in making this event impactful and memorable.

A special thank you to all our members and volunteers who participated and contributed to the success of this event. Your commitment and enthusiasm are truly inspiring and vital to our mission.

Let’s continue to work together to make a positive impact on our environment and community. Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to get involved.

Thank you for your continued support. 🌱💚
