A nurse reached out to us from Ridge Hospital to inform us about madam Ama not her real name.
She had swollen ovaries which made her look like a 5months pregnant woman.
It was pressing on her diaphragm (complicated ovarian cyst) so she needed immediate surgery. She couldn't settle her bills of 4,359.47ghc after surgery was done.
In collaboration with Apotica Company Limited, yesterday we were able to settle her bills for her to finally go home. We are grateful to Apotica Company Limited.

Update on baby Esi not her real name
We were at Korlebu on Tuesday for surgery date but she was admitted because her vitals were not very good.
Remember her in your prayers as she's still on admission.

My team lead Emmanuel Kwaku Owusu Larbi and I will be on Joy Prime TV this afternoon at 1pm to talk about the incubator initiative we ( AfroAid Ghana ) partnered Van Xplores on.

Some months ago, I announced that we were working on securing incubators for hospitals that do not have an incubator at all and the response to that post was overwhelming. I had heads of a number of hospitals from different Regions reaching out to me with video proof showing no incubators in the hospital. Some had only warmers.

Due to that, we decided we need to raise extra funds to make it possible to buy extra incubators so that they can all receive one. For this reason, join us to learn more about this initiative and how you can support us in your own small way to save preterm babies who need a second chance to life through these incubators.

It will also be aired on DSTV channel 281, GOTV channel 124 and HD+ channel 102.

We have been able to raise all the money needed for her surgery.
Thanks to the massive support from Apotica Company Limited, and you all especially Mr. Francis who topped up with all we needed. God bless you all.
Baby Esi will be seeing the doctor this Friday God willing for us to start the journey.
