Ghana risks sanction by the Biological Diversity Convention Secretariat
21st February 2026
Kojo Nkansah

The message is clear, ‘submit on time or be left out’. The stern warning is served to nations or parties to submit their fifth national reports or face the consequences.

It reminded parties' representatives of the deadline for submission and consequences thereafter.

It further warned that only reports submitted before or on 28 February 2026 will be considered in the Protocol review processes leading to MOP 12.

As of 19th February 2026 only, 24 nations had already submitted their fifth national report through the Biosafety Clearing-House.

Some of the countries that have already submitted their report are as follows:
Spain (first to publish), Cameroon (second to publish), Indonesia, Denmark, The Netherlands, Nigeria, The Philippines, Malawi, Lesotho, Vanuatu, Austria, and Botswana.

Ghana is said to have validated its report for submission but had not submitted yet.

Information on Gold underneath every spot one steps on on the ground in Ghana is an open secret. One does not need sophisticated tools and equipment to explore Gold in Ghana. And the fact that it is easier to mind Gold in rivers, lakes and dams is no more and expensive gossip.

A water borehole is always better than government's transported water

A borehole is onsite whereas government transported water runs through long and big pipes that are likely broken and thus welcome liquids with contaminants into the water that ends up in your taps.

Get a water borehole for your home, workplace, farm, school etc. Contact our drilling partner on 024-0935976 for more details.
