Esteem Resources Africa Girls trapped into forced labor/ritual servitude is unacceptable. We work to change that!

In the practice of Trokosi, a young girl, usually between the age of 8 and 12 ( but as young as 9 months) is chosen and given to the gods as pardon for an offense committed by another family member. The offender's family must give up the young virgin who will be forced to spend the rest of her life as a slave to the shrine priest. Although the practice became illegal in 1998 this tradition still t

Drum Roll Please!🥁🥁🥁🤩

We are excited to announce the inaugural recipient of the Sowing for Exchange Scholarship, Grace A., one of three esteemed young women who embody the spirit of resilience and community service. This Scholarship honors exceptional young ladies from our Sowing Empowered Women Program-Peer Advisory Council who have demonstrated remarkable need in housing, medical care, or education, while also highlighting their potential to inspire positive change through civil service and volunteerism. Let's take a moment and take in some of Grace's noteworthy essay.

"My current housing cost is 1500 cedis (roughly $150) for a year and it will be increased to 2000 cedis ($200) next year. ...I want...a safe environment and their (landlord) request for 2 years down payment that will be 3000 Ghana cedis before I can get a rent. ..It will help me to be in a safe environment, have peace of mind, live in stable housing to go back and finish my fashion course.
One of the goals of Esteem Resources Africa is to empower women to become independent and successful in future. If I get the scholarship to pay for the rent and I complete the fashion course, I will volunteer to train S.E.W. ladies...also assist or volunteer to sew for the organization if needed.
This scholarship would significantly alleviate this burden, allowing me to focus more fully on my coursework and less on financial worries of housing insecurity."

Thanks to our incredible Supporters, we're able to empower Grace with the resources she needs to leave a hazardous living situation where she cooks for construction workers while caring for her toddler.

Help us support more young ladies in Ghana 🇬🇭 like Grace!

When a partnering organization steps in to fill the gap, it's more than fun and games!🏆
On the surface my 1st Early Fest in Accra looked like any ordinary Carnival; horses, bouncy ball, and even a sack race. But at the core TERIA GHANA a partnering organization with us through the Coalition of NGOs Against Child Trafficking Cnact_ghana knows that making the difference in the lives of these children through early childhood education, health, and protection are vital.

Go Walter!✨️Thank you for the invitation and being on the journey with us in making a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable!

Celebrating Collaboration!🫱🏻‍🫲🏾🌎
Hi Friends, Rovaughna here! As a Global Servant-Leader & Social Worker in Ghana I'm proud that our organization is part of the Coalition of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) Against Child Trafficking (CNACT) Cnact_ghana ! Working to influence policy, educate, and empower children and communities.

Recently participated in the CNACT Capacity Building Workshop on Trauma-Informed Care. These types of training are vital on the mission field to help meet youth and young adult females where they are and ensuring they're linked to much needed supportive services.

Your support helps make sure ERA services stay relevant, connected and transformative!

Lost in thought...
Ever felt like you were carrying the weight of the world 🌎 on your back? Many of the young ladies involved in the Sowing Empowered Women Program (S.E.W) have felt just that. Lost, alone yet tenacious. Because the journey to stability is often long and winding, we celebrate that we're able to stay on the journey with these young ladies for years, if necessary, to help them reach their goals and see God's love in action.
Won't you join us on this road of safety, love and sustainability.

Today , Dormenyo Benedicta whom you may remember from one of our She Inspires Spotlight posts shares with us an inspiring story.
She told us that her biggest challenge usually comes from her work, sewing. Sometimes, customers bring in new styles she hasn’t tried before, and it makes her a little worried about how to go about it. But instead of letting that fear stop her, she reaches out to friends in the same field who guide and encourage her.
In the end, she always figures it out and sews the outfit beautifully, and seeing her clients happy makes it all worth it. ✨
Her story is a reminder that it’s okay to not know it all, learning never really stops, and it’s okay to ask for help. Growth happens when we push past fear and try anyway.

You may remember Abigail from a previous She Inspires Spotlight post. talented fashion designer with a passion for helping women look and feel their best. Today, she’s sharing another side of her journey that speaks to resilience, patience, and grace under pressure.
But it’s not always easy. Some days, the pressure from customers can be intense, especially when everyone wants their outfit ready at the same time. The pressure can be a lot, especially when she’s working on several orders at once. There are even moments when clients get upset and speak harshly.
But Abigail doesn’t let that stop her. Instead, she takes a deep breath, stays calm, and gently reassures her clients that their clothes will be ready on time and beautiful. That calm strength is what truly stands out about her.
Her story is a reminder that no matter what field we’re in, patience, composure, and resilience can turn even the hardest days into stepping stones toward growth.
