Change A Life Today; CALT for short is a brain child of a deep desire to help less privileged people in rural areas of the Northern part of Ghana smile through the kind, thoughtful and mindful acts of those that can spare to help do so. There are so many children and young adults, including sometimes even parents, that walk barefooted or naked for the little ones simply because they cannot afford
to do otherwise. It is also a known fact that a lot of people store stuff in their homes that are not going to be used in many years to come and end up being thrown out finally. This can be as a result of not knowing where to send their unused stuff and lack of time, among other reasons. CALT, therefore, serves as the bridge to collect and redistribute these resources in our rural areas where they are very needed. People who are also motivated to bring smiles to these rural dwellers in other ways within their means and abilities would be very much welcome to do so. The other thing, of course, is to educate the parents, guardians and beneficiaries of these gestures to better take care of themselves and promote better livelihoods within their communities. This would basically include advocacy for educating the girl and boy child, especially providing opportunities where they can learn in more concrete ways how to cater for themselves, the needs of their families and society at large. This will require some people who are willing and ready to sacrifice their time, their hearts, their comforts, resources and a bit of luxury to achieve this. CALT is requesting thoughtful and concrete acts to bring smiles and hope to rural folks specifically within the Savanah and North East Regions where personal and firsthand experience has aroused this desire in order to make their lives better. Joining CALT is a big step towards helping achieve these aspirations. Contributing and donating towards this cause will help spread love and kindness, which is all our world needs today.
