Lila's Child Care Foundation

Lila's Child Care Foundation Lila’s Child Care Foundation seeks to provide an education for these pupils, who otherwise would not be in school.

The education we provide is of no cost to the pupil. Books and other learning materials are included in this provision. We provide basic literacy and numeracy, Science, English, Social Studies, Environmental Studies,Religious and Moral Education, Creative Arts etc . The Only money parents have to contribute is 1 Ghana Cedis ( which is less than a dollar $). At the moment, there are about eighty (8

0) regular students at the school and about twenty (20) other who attend classes intermittently whenever their parents/ guardians permit them to do so. Pupils attend school in the morning at 8am and close at 3 pm and usually work to assist their families in the afternoons. This concession is necessary to get the families to work with the school and allow the children to attend classes. In most cases, both the pupils and the families are thankful for the opportunity to attend school. A listing later in this document will give a background of some of the students and their families.
